Trana Mathews (tranamathews) | 1 comments Hello authors and readers!

I'm Diane, and I've always been a "bookaholic". Trana Mathews is my pen name. I began writing after retiring to beautiful southeastern Arizona because I needed something to do to keep me out of trouble!

An online friend suggested I try NaNoWriMo. I didn't even know what it was, but soon decided to try it. My third great-grandfather's life fascinated me. He kept a journal when he traveled from Massachusetts to Ohio in 1798. A limited edition of it had been published and given to family members.

Completing 50K words that first November, I kept going. As I did more and more research, my historical fiction changed. I never dreamed that I'd find actual letters between family members written in the 18th century! My first novel has turned into a family saga trilogy.

I enjoy reading many genres, but I don't like romance or any erotica! I hope to become reviewer/friends with many of you.

He’s the boy who wants to disappear.

One mistake & seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends & working hard on self-destruction.

She’s the girl nobody sees.

Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, & saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad her heat can’t resist, no matter the cost.

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

First day of senior year and Tia West just ran over a hot guy in the high school parking lot. In her defense, she’s a little preoccupied as the caretaker of five younger siblings, one dog, one cat, facing a mountain of bills and determined to keep her family together. The eternal optimist, she just needs to try harder, be better, take a deep breath and definitely shouldn’t bring home another stray dog or an angry, scary and scarred boy who is obviously in desperate need of a hug.
After a stint in juvie, Taz is back for senior year, and every minute is a struggle. His only defense is silence. Keeping quiet avoids the slaps, hits, threats and is as close to safe as he can manage. Until Tia West convinces him of possibilities he never knew existed. She fills every dark, empty space with a lightness he’s never experienced before, and the only way to keep her is by speaking up for himself. But his secrets are the kind that devastate and destroy.

Elliot Brent (penmanshipeb) | 1 comments Hello, My name is Elliot.
I'm an author, poet, thinker, survivor, writer, reader, and blogger.
I've been through a lot in my life, so writing for me came to be my outlet.
I did not know, but poetry is a means of therapy.
I do not claim post traumatic stress, but apparently, writing dynamically aided me in the times of my darkness.
Hence, it only makes sense for me to be a writer.
I enjoy thinking, and critical thoughts from others are refreshing: thereby, I like to listen and read.
Anyway, there's more on my page and inside of my books.

Filiz Behaettin | 11 comments Hi everyone!

I am the author of the children's book 'Henry the Strange Bee'.

I would be interested to meet any children's book reviewers, as I am after honest reviews for my book.

My book is available at most bookstores as well as Amazon - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/0648947610

Henry is not a regular bee. He flies in zigzags and makes trumpet sounds instead of buzzing sounds. Often being made fun of by Mr. Fuzzy Grumpy, a mean grumpy bee, Henry sets off to get rid of his bright stripes with hopes of looking like a regular bee.

It is a story about acceptance and teaching children to embrace their differences.

I would be happy to send through my story to anyone who may be interested in reviewing it.

I can also review your children's book should you wish :)

Kind regards,

Filiz Behaettin

Mandy Schimelpfenig (mandy_schimelpfenig) Nice to meet you!
I'm Mandy and I'm currently writing a historical fantasy series. My editor just finished book 1, so I'm excited to make changes and hopefully have a release date within the next year. I previously self-published a historical fiction novel in the vein of Jane Austen, my favorite author. In case it wasn't obvious, my favorite genre is historical fiction, but I also enjoy horror, romance, and classics. I'm new to Goodreads and am really enjoying reading with a community.

Reading had been a passion since I was a girl, and my goal is to pass that love onto my children. When I'm not reading or writing, I spend time with my family camping, hiking, or simply relaxing after a long day of remote schooling.

To the beta readers, if you're interested in helping me polish my story, I would love to send the first chapter for your opinion. Let me know if you would like more details!

I would love to beta read the first chapter of your historical fiction WIP! I feel the first chapter has to draw you into the story so completely that it's torture not to continue. I would love to be so enthralled with your story that I want more!

Regards!

I'm also a reader who has embarked on a quest to read as many female (and generally non-male) sci-fi authors as possible after realizing that most of the sci-fi I've read was written by men. I've started a blog where I review sci-fi books by famous, as well as indie and self-published authors. I am a sci-fi author as well, and I've recently published my debut novel. I can exchange a free copy for a review or review for a review with a fellow author.

T.B. Wayne | 1 comments Hi All,

Introducing myself, my name is TB Wayne and today is my 50th birthday. I self-published my first novel on Nov 1st and it is a very dark fantasy novel, likely what would be termed, Grimdark, set 1000 years after the fall of mankind in the Pacific Northwest.
I have 2 kids, both in high school and I have been married for 28 years.
I decided it was time to follow my own dream and publish this novel. It's 320 pages and follows my main character on a journey into darkness. He encounters lies and betrayal at every turn until he can simply take no more and begins to take those small bloody steps that lead him towards becoming a villain.

Look forward to sharing and getting a few reviews. Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving!

Indie author, screwed by independent publishers; that's a horror story! The Demon Hunters: Succubus Resurrection This latest novel is a horror story. I like stories with high emotions and dynamic characters, as human nature was my area of expertise as a school psychologist and Clinical Social Worker. I don't like mindless horror, or graphic horror, violence without a unique plot. I grew up watching the black and white 1940s and 50s classic movies Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein with implied violence. Serial killers now bore me. creativity catches my interest. A.E. Hearn | 12 comments Hi everyone! My name is Ashlea Hearn and I’m a new author whose novel gets published this April 2021 with New Degree Press! I don’t have much experience on Good Reads but I am looking to build my audience early through beta readers and also getting support of my campaign.

The genre is action/crime. Take It: Genesis Mortalis is the first novel in the Take It book series about twin billionaire heiresses who start a secret vigilante organization targeting some of the most wealthy and corrupt businessmen and criminals around the world.

If you’re interested in reading more on the book or pre-ordering the book to help us raise money for the production, you can find that all in the link here. https://igg.me/at/ashlea-hearn-book/x...

For reviews I see that authors can request those so once I have the finalized manuscript I can post it there! Also if you pre-order a copy you automatically have the option to become a beta reader.

Thank you all for your time!

Fourteen Tiles: Real Stories of Unusual Characters
Real life is often more interesting than any fiction. In many countries and from WWII to the present times, this mosaic follows artists, programmers, scientists, soldiers, musicians, sailors, and Boy Scouts – some plain crazy but many of them unassuming, ordinary people who achieved amazing feats and survived wars or oppressive political systems without losing their sense of humor.
This book (225 pp.) fits several categories: Long stories, literary nonfiction, history, or memoir.
I write because I have a lot to say. I am a retired sea captain, offshore sailor, artist, amateur cellist, beekeeper, licensed trapper, and a co-founder of a major high-tech company. I studied mathematics and engineering (PhD), and was one of the pioneers who figured out how to design silicon chips with a computer – an essential step for the rapid evolution of electronics.
If you are interesting in writing a review, please contact me for a copy of the book, preferably in the digital format: jiri8@live.com, www.soukup.ca

Mobi, Epub, PDF or I can gift you Kindle copies. You send me whatever format you have handy. I read yours. You read mine. We are under no obligation. If my books make you feel like you just ate expired bologna, feel free not to leave a very unflattering review that curls me into the fetal position around a bottle of wine. If you can't turn the pages fast enough and can barely read through the tears, laughter and swooning, by all means go ahead and review to your heart's content. Or simply tell me, "good job." Whatever makes you happy. And I'll do the same. Sound good?
