Charisse Moritz | 115 comments Hi Amy. If you are interested in mature YA romance, I would be delighted to provide a paperback copy of my debut novel Shakespeare Burning or the follow up, Shatter. Both are standalone, intended for 18+ readers and include HEA. You can reach me here or through my email (ugarps@yahoo.com). I hope to hear from you! I've included a blurb for each novel below. Thank you, Charisse

Shakespeare Burning:
He’s the boy who wants to disappear.

One mistake & seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends & working hard on self-destruction.

She’s the girl nobody sees.

Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, & saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad her heat can’t resist, no matter the cost.

Shatter (The Choosy Beggars Series Book One):

First day of senior year and Tia West just ran over a hot guy in the high school parking lot. In her defense, she’s a little preoccupied as the caretaker of five younger siblings, one dog, one cat, facing a mountain of bills and determined to keep her family together. The eternal optimist, she just needs to try harder, be better, take a deep breath and definitely shouldn’t bring home another stray dog or an angry, scary and scarred boy who is obviously in desperate need of a hug.
After a stint in juvie, Taz is back for senior year, and every minute is a struggle. His only defense is silence. Keeping quiet avoids the slaps, hits, threats and is as close to safe as he can manage. Until Tia West convinces him of possibilities he never knew existed. She fills every dark, empty space with a lightness he’s never experienced before, and the only way to keep her is by speaking up for himself. But his secrets are the kind that devastate and destroy.

Jeannette Katzir | 21 comments I am, no I should say we, are Nora Katzir. That is the pen name used by us, Nora Ottaviano and Jeannette Katzir while collaborating on a book series we’re calling ‘The Coterie of Sleuths’. We have been close friends for many years and have stood side by side through the many ups and downs that life has tossed our way. A few years ago, we started writing about these unscripted adventures and found ourselves laughing and crying as they were woven into the pages of our books. Our first book is titled ‘The Contest’. It features four lifelong friends, who somewhat resemble the two of us and two other friends. Even though these characters come from different backgrounds and have different goals, they share their four very different viewpoints to help each other. Our characters, like us, represent what a wide swath of women are undergoing. And we invite you to read about these strong opinionated women. Find out what they think about the men in their lives and what advice they give women to fix their own problems.

Hi, Heather. Would you be interested in any of my children's books? Thanks.

message 1813: by Jeannette (new)

Jeannette Katzir | 21 comments I wanted to know if you’d be interested in reading and reviewing a book I wrote. It’s a frolic involving love/death and lots of laughter.
Rachel’s husband is a cheater, and her friends have the perfect solution for her predicament, kill him without getting caught.
They were referring to a hypothetical contest, of course.

Entries to the contest pour in from friends and complete strangers. Some of the schemes were wacky, and some were so bizarre they made the girls laugh.
However, when Rachel’s husband dies as a result of one of the contest entries, the police investigate her, his former mistress, and a rival for his lover’s sexual favors.
One of the three is arrested for the crime, but did the police get it wrong?
This is the premise of my book, titled: The Contest.
If this blurb has piqued your interest, I will provide you with an e-copy to read and review.

message 1814: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Heather would you consider reviewing a romance/family drama?

THE THORN BUSH BY KITTY PYPER is essentially about the will to survive in the normal world as young adults being the emotionally disadvantaged products of a failing child care facility. The pages are haunted by the shadow of a tragic figure.
It is essentially a story about the power of love and loyalty.

Cece ❀Rants, Raves &Reviews❀ | 3 comments Hi all, I'm Cece from Portland, and I write reviews here on goodreads.

I love to rant, rave and review character developments, world building, comedy/banter, & writing style (did u give me goosebumps/shock me/plot twists) in the books I read

I like to give honest feedback, while also taking a more “standup comedy routine” in my reviews to engage with readers, so I incorporate a lot of GIFs and quotes to have some fun with it. Excited to be active with the group!

message 1819: by Rosalie (new)

Rosalie Weller | 3 comments Hello, I'm new to the group. I love reading but my special favourites are historical fiction books. I joined a local book club last year and this has challenged my usual reading. Now I seem to be plodding through books I wouldn't normally pick. But enjoying the experience.
I am also an author. I've written my first historical novel about Oliver Cromwell and how he met his wife. I was interested in the question of how can a woman marry such a man. There was a lot of research involved but I enjoyed it.

I've also written several bible study book which include personal testimony and poems as well as questions for group study. I hope some of you check out my work. It's good to be challenged on your work.

Recently I started a Writing circle which will have to be on zoom in the current pandemic. This was a great experience to meet some local people also interested in all kinds of writing.

I've been attending online literary festivals which are great as alternatives, although not quite as good as the real thing.

He’s seen way too many horror movies to be healthy. His short fiction has been featured in Crossroads in the Dark II, III, and IV, Ravenwood Quarterly, Dark Moon Digest, and Sanitarium. He is the author of the novels Plank Children by Michael Schutz , Edging by Michael Schutz , and Blood Vengeance by Michael Schutz-Ryan . Rose Hi everyone!

I'm new to this group reviewing thing, so I'm not really sure how it works. I hope to get the hang of this soon!

I'm a fast and passionate reader and aspiring reviewer.

I'm interested in trying new genres but I usually stick to: fantasy, romance, mystery, historical fiction, and young adult!

I love reading physical copies of books because it helps me keep track of my thoughts, i.e. moments in the book that had me feeling strong emotions, quotes from the book that really stuck with me and allowed me to think deeply, moments that made me feel connected with the characters, etc

I look forward to starting with this group and seeing where this takes me as I am still a new reviewer!

Robert Drummond | 3 comments Hi everyone

This is my first time in the Goodreads reviewers’ group. I live in Australia and have a self-published book in the Young Adult fantasy genre that I am looking to get reviewed. The few that have read the book really like it, but I really need more readers and reviews.

I have included below a brief intro to the book and if it piques your interest as something you would like to review just let me know and I can provide a paperback copy or the eBook.

The Winds of Power – The Sleeper Prophecy
Four teenagers...one prophecy...magical powers and a thrilling alien space adventure.
The Winds of Power follows the adventures of four fifteen-year-olds as they travel through space towards the last remaining blue-violet star to test and develop their powers and friendships in an alien world filled with all manner of dangers and strange beings.

The death of a blue-violet star fifteen years ago saw solar winds carry charged particles to the ends of the galaxy, reaching the outer planet of Earth, and interacting with the genes of four newborn babies, and heightening the powers within them. It is later prophesized that a sleeper from an outer planet will help overthrow a great evil that threatens to destroy the seven planets that form the Galactic Alliance. The alliance, now under the shadow of a great evil, takes the teenagers out into space to determine who the sleeper is.

Nicole Landry (niclandry) | 1 comments Hello!

My name is Nicole, and I've recently taken up reading as a hobby - never been much into reading prior to about a month and a half ago, and now I'm absolutely addicted!

Crime/thriller/suspense/mystery novels have been my go-to, and I cannot get enough of recommendations in this genre. It's as if my eyes have been opened to a whole new world, and I can't wait to keep cranking out these books! If anyone has some recommendations in this genre, please send them my way.

I'm also trying to figure out how to get on a list to get ARC of new crime/thriller/suspense/mystery novels, as I've been seeing a ton of crime fiction readers on Instagram posting reviews of their advanced copies of unreleased books, and I’m DYING to become a reader/reviewer who can receive these types of advanced copies.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. :)

I am Chaitanya Srivastava! You can call me 'Chai' if you like. It means tea in Hindi, haha! I have a bookstagram account which can be found at @Chai_n_books where I post books reviews, my thoughts and at times even analysis of themes/characters/plots In separate posts!

I mostly read Young Adult, LGBTQIA+ Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, Romance, Erotica and Fantasy. I do enjoy thrillers every now and then! I accept ARC but prefer only physical copies as I very traditional that way. I cant do very well with e-books/audiobooks!

Besides that, I absolutely love getting to know people and their culture. I watch a lot of movies and tv series. I absolutely love Harry Potter but not the creator so much!! Haha! Also, I practically introduce myself to most people as - "Chaitanya, not the very first of his name, Of House Slytherin from Winterfell, umpteenth of my name, Protector of all things aesthetic and pleasing, Father of old, tattered and rusty books".

In case you're one of those people who can tell how I would be in person based on my favourite book, then let me tell you that its - a tough choice between the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sanez!

Hoping to meet some beautiful people here!

Ian Crouse | 2 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Ian and I am from South Louisiana, GEAUX TIGGAS!

My background has always included writing but never on a publishing level. Just short stories for friends etc. Although my writing style is a dark journey through my imagination with a push of guidance from my faith, it delves deep into paranormal possibilities.

After leaving college my senior year, broadcast journalism, I joined the US Navy and was sent to the Bay Area where I was a photojournalist for the Naval Medical Command North West Region. In 1990, I was one of the first to be sent to the Middle East during Desert Shield/Desert Storm where I was a PhoJo in the Public Affairs Office for the NMCNWR aboard the USNS Mercy.

After 5 years of owning restaurants with my friend, I sold my interest and moved closer to home and built a Bed & Breakfast. During my 20 years as an Inn Keeper / Chef, I reached my pinnacle of 5 stars on Trip Advisor and held it for over 15 years. Cooking is my passion now writing is my therapy.

I recently sold the Inn due to complications from being in DSDS and find myself writing more and more to escape the pain of Fibromyalgia, CFS, and IBS coupled with severe depression.

Thank you all for reading this and I hope you enjoy my work.

Warmest regards,

Hullo Everyone, my name is Beryl and although I haven't introduced myself I have been around for some months. I love reading and have spent countless hours with my head buried in a book. When I read fiction nothing touches the heart like a true to life romance. My other love is reading the biography of a person who has had an interesting life. I started out writing contemporary romance because I discovered I had developed this strong desire to write..... I did so under the pseudonym Kitty Pyper. Kitty Pyper was my paternal grandmother. 10 Chestnut Avenue and The Thorn Bush are two of my books and they are both free on Amazon at the moment. You can view my books using my URL amazon/author/kittypyper. It is nice meeting you all and I hope you succeed in your ventures

Jess | 2 comments Hello! I’m a bit slow to the party and have only recently discovered goodreads - which I’ve instantly become hooked on. I mainly read e-books as I don’t have the space to keep physical books, and after much complaining from my husband who is constantly tripping over my book pile, I decided a kindle would be my best option for keeping my book collection alive. So as a result, I have discovered a new hobby in writing book reviews.

My current reading preferences are historical-fiction, travel, memoir and psychological/paranormal suspense.

I look forward to interacting with others here and to reading more books!

Tenkara Smart | 93 comments Hi All, I am new to Goodreads and a debut author of a YA, coming of age book titled She Named Me Wolf, book one in the series The Many Lives of Wolf. My novels are based on the idea that one soul is reincarnating into different lifetimes, and book two, the story of a samurai warrior named Junsaku, is in the works. I have loved to read all my life and enjoy seeing what everyone else is reading and reviewing, and I look forward to interacting and sharing the huge universe that is books!
