Was there a loud, snarky fellow toward the front? You can hear him trying to chime in from time to time, but I at least can't hear what he is saying.

How does one become a slush reader, anyway?

The euthanasia robots thing is really fascinating.

I skipped Interstellar. Maybe that was a mistake. More inspirational sci-fi! I hope that the possible new Star Trek fits in that category; that is what I want from Star Trek.

Yes please on an interstellar culture article. There's this incredible song floating around the cons and filk groups called (I believe) Somebody Will, about working day-to-day toward future space travel. It makes me cry because it breaks my illusion that I might live to go to space myself.
