Kvothe can be a little too perfect for me at times. It gets a little bit better in the second book, but even I (a definite overachiever) had a bit of sideye for how he naturally took to EVERYTHING. Did this bother anyone else?

Yup, it was tiresome. It would have been nice if he failed at something simply because he didn't have the talent for it and not because he was sabotaged.

Jessica | 2 comments What saves this from being a disaster is that the very beginning of the book shows that he is in for a big fall, and it's probably his own fault.
