I already finished, but while I was reading there were times where I just wanted to put it away somewhere dark. I don't know if any of you watch Friends, but Joey has to put the Shining in the freezer when it gets too intense. This book didn't get too intense, but it got really sad. (Atwood's MaddAddam series, though, I did put in the freezer).
I made myself push through, though, because I knew it was an important book. And it was really good.

Yeah, it's kind of sad like you said, but I don't think it quite affected me as much as it affected you.. but maybe I haven't read far enough yet. We'll see.
