Now you can easily add your new book from the author dashboard!

Hi everyone,

We're excited to announce that you can now easily add your new books to Goodreads via your author dashboard. Simply visit your dashboard and click on either of the ‘Add a book’ options as shown in the screenshot below.



We’ve added this feature to help ensure that your book ends up on the right author page, and also to save you time when adding books to the site.

This feature is already live so please have a look and post any questions or suggestions you may have in this thread - we’d love to hear your thoughts!

What is the difference between this method and the previous "add a book" feature?

The new tool is in a place that's easier to find for authors. It also autofills the author's name into the new book record, using the correct spelling, punctuation, and ensuring that the book is added to your author page, and not to that of any of other author who you share a name with.

Thanks, that helps. I had that problem early on, since there are a couple of other authors with my name.
