Rod Horncastle My teenage Son would rather be a computer simulation: He lives for the GAME.

Robots RULE!

Robert Core | 1864 comments Phil - retirement is great! I am no longer confronted daily with mortal bombardment from people I was forced to interact with in my profession. Now I can make my own computer simulated model for humanity without unwanted input from idiots! (This site doesn't count, we are at least ostensibly discussing God, a rather nebulous entity subject to multiple interpretations, which lends food for thought). Try as I might, though, human affairs are ultimately unpredictable and all my algorithms for behavior end up in the shredder!

Rod Horncastle Phil you appear to have given Lee Strobel's A Case For Christ 2 stars. Therefore I HATE YOU and may possibly mock your every effort.

Unless you give an adequate explanation for your blasphemy. I'll wait...

message 5: by Lee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lee Harmon (DubiousDisciple) | 2112 comments Two stars are about right for any Strobel book. This little book is excerpted from The Case For Christ:

Rod Horncastle And LEE that is why I mock your every effort.

(i'm not a Lee Strobel fan - I more appreciate the amazing people he interviews for his research.)

message 7: by Lee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lee Harmon (DubiousDisciple) | 2112 comments Good grief, Rod, he travels all over the world trying to find an interviewer weird enough to promote his own beliefs. Then he presents it as "science." It's flat out dishonest what Strobel does.

Rod Horncastle Of course you think that. I would be surprised if YOU didn't Lee.

These people Love the Bible and do honest work. I can see your hate.

message 9: by Lee (last edited Mar 30, 2014 04:13PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lee Harmon (DubiousDisciple) | 2112 comments If he would just once come clean with a disclaimer like "I choose not the interview the 99% of the people in these fields because they will rip the 1%'s wacky ideas to shreds," then I would give him some credit. As it is, I consider him dishonest, doing far more harm to Christianity than good. Thank God most people can see through his nonsense.

Rod Horncastle I understand your point Lee.

Should the majority be given the benefit of the doubt? I say HELL NO! Give me 1% anytime.

Imagine you live in the middle east surrounded by 1.5 billion muslims. Do you accept their 99%? According to YOUR LOGIC you should.

message 11: by Phil (new) - rated it 5 stars

Phil Hemsley (pdhemsley) | 15 comments Well I can't really remember why I scored Mr Strobel with only 2 stars. I guess I just think too much....

Have you explored my blog yet? I suspect there may be more shocks in store ;-)
