Great to see Uprooted in your list! I hope you'll like it.

I'm reading The Little Prince for the less-than-200 pages classic book and Bel Canto for the Rory Gilmore book, too! Interesting choices. I also love the name of your list. I never get enough sleep, because I am always reading!
I just went back through your list...J.K. Rowling's working on another children's book? OMG. How did I not hear about this? I re-read the Harry Potter books about once a year (and re-watch all of the movies as well). I like her adult private investigator series written under a pseudonym, but would love to see more children's books from her.
Thanks for The Little Prince idea - I have put that as my childhood classic. I was going to put the Count of Monte Cristo somewhere too until I saw how long it is! I think I might have to do that another year because I already have too many fat books in my list as it is, so for 2016 I shall content myself with reading your review on it :)
OMG a new children's book by J.K. Rowling! I can't wait! I just got Gilgamesh from the library so I'll be reading that soon.
I seem to be avoiding long books this year - I think I read so many dud books last year that I got scared of committing to something really long. I have a couple of doorstops on my list next year though!
Completely agree with you on Gone With The Wind. My book group almost mutinied when I put it down as our next read just because of how intimidating it looks on the shelf, but we all whipped through it because we quickly became addicted to Scarlett's antics! I hope the Count of Monte Cristo is the same for you!

I am so, so excited for Gilgamesh!! The idea of rea..."
This is the version I'm reading.
Nice list! Did you find these 16 books in a list somewhere or did you know before that you were going to be reading these new releases?
I like the 16 in '16 idea :)#3 is my Reader's Choice and #5 is in my 2016 TBR. There are plenty of new books which looks like very interesting, so I've several of them in my plans :)
I like the 16 in 16 idea, but I'm thinking of tacking on the pop sugar 2016 list onto my 52 books… I don't think I can handle another list!!
Wow you are ahead of the game with 3 books ticked off already - I was feeling smug just having managed my first one! Glad that you are enjoying Monte Cristo, that is definitely going on my 2017 challenge list!
Me before subscribing to Goodreads: no idea what to read, none of the 3 authors I follow released a new book this year. Me now: wow, this looks interesting (one more book lost in the hundred of my TBR).
