Also, I'm a librarian but haven't been se for very long, and I'm attempting to combine:

but can't get it to work. It says I must select 2 works to combine, but I HAVE marked both of them, so I don't know why it won't work.

Linnea, both editions to be combined need to be on the same page.

The only way to do that, when they are on different pages, is to change one or both titles to the same beginning ie in my case I add to one or both titles sandra, leaving the original title, then using the filter I combine them and then remove the extra words.

Thanks for fixing! I suspected it was something like that. Though it seems kinda stupid to have to change their titles in order to combine them. Is there really no way to fix it so you can combine from different pages? Seems like an obvious thing to able to do! (And this is not an issue I've encountered on similar websites.)

#932 are both the same or different edition? since there's no isbn or cover on the other edition, I can't determine whether one of them is a duplicate or an alternate cover edition. if it's the same, it should be merged, not combined.

Nope, this is the only work around. The only way to combine is to have them both on the same page.
