Lauren Sterk | 4 comments This is going to be really hard cause I don't remember much of the plot at all. But I figure I have nothing to loose by at least seeing if someone knows.

It was a fantasy story with magic and stuff. I don't really remember the plot. I remember one of the characters, not the main character, had white silver hair and had magic power. And at one point he was able to use his power to put an end to a battle that was about to happen (possibly by making it rain) but after he was sick and exhausted. I can't remember his name it was something like silliean or severean or something like that.

The only other thing I really remember about it is that the main character and another character are kinda in a different reality and they meet a powerful being who gives them advice on saving the world and an apple, and they have to travel to get to where they need to go in this like wasteland and they're worried about starving and they decide to share the apple even though it won't last long and discover that as much as they eat the apple stays whole.

I read this book when I was in 7th grade so about 2000-2001 and I think it was probably more then a few years old by then. It probably would have been considered Y/A because it was in my school library. (I think the cover was red?)

Sorry it's not much to go on but I had to see if maybe it would jog someones memory cause it's not jogging mine.

Justanotherbiblophile | 1814 comments Hmm, should real in "in a different real and" be reality/universe?

And "apple stays home", perhaps means stays whole?

When you split the apple do you get two apples? Or, does one half become whole (suddenly)? Or do you get two halves and then the whole apple appears in your baggage later?

The white hair thing sounds like Raistlin Majere - but his hair color isn't mentioned on his wikipedia page (and I'm not sure where I got that idea from).

Lauren Sterk | 4 comments Oh sorry, yep that's a typo it should; be different reality, and whole. If I remember correctly it was kinda like they stuck just outside their world cause there was really nothing there.

And I'm pretty sure the apple would become whole suddenly. Like if you took a bite and looked back a moment later there would still be a whole apple.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Dragonlance series with Raistlin I kinda had looked at those before hoping but it really didn't jog anything.

Thanks for taking the time to help though!

A long shot - something by Tony Abbott?
https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

Is there a portal, or does the story take place in one world?
Were there any special creatures like dragons?

Lauren Sterk | 4 comments Thanks for the suggestion but I don't believe it was That series thanks though.

The story I believe does take place in one world. It's not different worlds or parallel realities or different dimensions really.

You know this just proves how much i really don't remember of the story. I don't remember if there was a dragon or any of that. When I think about it I sometimes think maybe there was a pegasus or something like that but I really might be making that up. But I'll mention it in case i'm not.

MJ | 1617 comments Katherine Kerr, Deverry series has Aden who in one book (long series) has a never ending Apple. It's not a big deal apple tho. There's also lots of magic and Aden does it too. Think he helps stop a war... And several times were people make it rain. Daggerspell might be the first book in the series, but the apple, and Aden come later.
