Round and Flat Charecters

Do you think flat characters are important to this book/do you think they help contrast the round characters (Like Lev in the beginning of the book, he was flat). Do you think flat characters can become round, and can round characters become flat?
To elaborate on this, why do you think the writer includes so many different points of view. Do you think this is to encourage contrast between characters and points of view? In my opinion, it is to include a lot of round and flat characters to give the reader a complete view of what is happening so the reader can judge things like the story world for themselves

of course they can. It's really advanced character development
