Unwind (Unwind, #1) Unwind question

Am I the only one who LOVED Unwind?

I recently read the Unwind series, and I was blown away. I felt that Neal Shusterman (the author) did an excellent job writing the story, especially since other books by him aren't so good. It starts perfectly, talking about how Connor knows that an unwind order has been signed, and he thinks about how he will be able to go AWOL. Then we meet Risa, who is just finding out that she will be unwound because the orphanage she is at cannot afford to care for her. Then we meet Lev, who wants to be unwound, since it is part of his religion. I think that Neal entwines the each persons story perfectly, until they meet. Also, I love that each chapter starts the perspective of someone in the story. I think the story perfectly encapsulates how I would act if I were in their situation, and I REALLY hope there is a sequel. Why or why not do you like the Unwind series?

Given that Unwind scored an impressive 4.19 rating, I think there just might be one or two other people who loved it. Myself included.

Oh, and good news: There is a sequel (and a whole series): https://www.goodreads.com/series/4333...

Sic Transit Gloria UnWholly is actually #2. Unbound appears to be set after the entire series. I'm not sure, I haven't read it. ...more

i loved it that im rereading it lol its such a great story and Neal Shusterman is a great author

Oh I loved it and yes excited for unbound. Call me weird but i ship Cam and Una. I really hope there's a short about them in the next book even if it doesn't say in the blurb.

Unwind was the only book I liked in the series. It was more intense than the others. It has a been a couple years, however, since I've read the book and tried reading the other books.

I absolutely love love love this series. My older sister and I talk about it all the time. She had her 6th graders read it and got quite the discussion going on...I have made all my friends read it and they love it.

I had heard a rumor a couple years ago that there was a movie option for it, but then nothing. While I always kinda hate it when they turn a super good book into a movie, further reading and discussion on this topic in our society would be beneficial.

Great YA writing at its best.

I absolutely loved the entire series. Can't wait for Unbound :)

A good book but a very unpleasant world.
