Leslie wrote: "Congrats on reaching (and passing) the top of Mount Ararat Fay!"Thank you. I saw you post another one yesterday as well - go you! Final pushes now. I finish work next week and I'm wondering if I have it in me to complete Kilimanjaro by the end of the year........
52) The Memoirs of Sherlock HolmesAs part of my Buddy Reads I choose Sherlock Holmes to link in with our last read, 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea (if you can guess the link you are a genius. My buddy hasn't got it yet as she promised not to Google. There are a few more to link to them so more clues will be coming). I loved the accessible style of the Sherlock Holmes stories. They didn't feel dated or out of my reach due to archaic language and style. I also liked Sherlock a lot more than Poirot and his little grey cells......
54) Shift by Hugh Howey. a Buddy Read with Jessika which I'm so glad I did as I have started this before and not finished and really enjoyed it this time round.
55) The Great Christmas Bake Off by Abby Clements. A short kindle freebie that's been kicking around for ages. Was OK but think it included characters and settings from a full novel so I felt a bit out of the loop.
