bookbeedani 🐝 Would love to read an erotic/alpha male book with the male being a naval sailor? Anyone know if a good book? Thanks!

Scarlett Avery (scarlettavery) | 48 comments Hello :-)

I have published two books in Billionaires' Indulgence series. It's not about a male sailor or anything like that but I assure you, it's HOT!!! You may want to check out the reviews on Amazon or Goodreads.

Here are the links:

Anne Hopefully some of you will find some good reads here. Appreciate what you all have shared in the past.

Year End Recap for 2015

I love to look back through my year and see what books have filled me with joy and which have made me want to pull my hair out. Clearly these are my own opinions and no disrespect to authors or readers that did like the books, that I did not....

Here's what I found out about my reads.....What about you all?

Most Enjoyable Series -
The Boss - The Boss (The Boss, #1) by Abigail Barnette - Just so well done, not rushed, timelines fit throughout, discussions are logical and h is not TSTL. Whew
Carpino - Athica Lane (Carpino, #3) by Brynne Asher - Just great.
Charley Davidson - First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones - Read the whole series in about a month and laughed a LOT.

Favorite Surprises - (I didn't think I would like and I did, I did)
Play (Stage Dive, #2) by Kylie Scott & First Grave on the Right (Charley Davidson, #1) by Darynda Jones

Most Reliably Witty - (No matter the series)
Julia Quinn - I just don't know how she does it! She's just so creative and witty.
Penny Reid - I so want to be her friend. I may even start to knit.

Favorite Author of 2015 based on my number of 5 star ratings -
Julie Anne Long - I read 6 of hers and 4 were 5 stars - Yay!

Favorite (New to Me) Authors of 2015 -
Kate Canterbary - Walsh's Series - (can't wait for the last two on my TBR list for 2016)
River Jaymes - Boyfriend Chronicles (So hot! and covers are great too)
Suzanne Enoch - Lessons in Love series
Melanie Harlow - She's so good...why is she not more popular?!

Series that I barely liked but could NOT stop reading - (Aargh!)
Hades Hangman - Tillie Cole

Most Popular Genre - Historical - 35 of them! Wow.

Best Cover - The Air He Breathes (Elements, #1) by Brittainy C. Cherry Seriously people...look at that cover! I want, I want.

Lowest Rated - The Flame and the Flower by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss It may be OLD school historical but WTF? I DNF because I felt so violated and icky (and that's saying something because I've read some dark stuff in years past).

Most Disappointing (based on my own expectations) -
King (King, #1) by T.M. Frazier - Really, you guys liked it that much? Hmmm...
Truth or Beard (Winston Brothers, #1) by Penny Reid - I'm sorry Penny, but I just couldn't get into it. I did finish but ......
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews - I soooo wanted to like this series but...Meh.

Authors I think I've outgrown - *sniff*
Belle Aurora
Nicole Edwards

Drumroll - MY most memorable reads of 2015 -
Kulti by Mariana Zapata Athica Lane (Carpino, #3) by Brynne Asher Play (Stage Dive, #2) by Kylie Scott Married By Morning (The Hathaways, #4) by Lisa Kleypas Rock Hard (Rock Kiss, #2) by Nalini Singh It Happened One Midnight (Pennyroyal Green, #8) by Julie Anne Long

Annette Dahl "Old Vicarious Reader" My Amazon gift card is burning a hole in my Kindle...LOL...

I need a suggestion in the Sweet Alpha man genre. Sexy, Steamy, Bold, and over the shoulder kind of man. Maybe the heroine plays hard to get.

Recommendations Please!

Hi Danielle, If you haven't already read them, I recommend the Corps Security Series by Harper Sloan. Hope you enjoy :)

Laura, even though Hardwired is in a series, can it be read as a standalone?

No each book starts where the last one ends. So you need to commit to all five books. I loved it though.

A Klue (fromthesouth) | 78 comments Any recommendations for a great romantic read featuring a blind or deaf hero or heroine? Can be contemp. or historical romance.

Book 1 of The Reed Brothers by Tammy Falkner (Tall, Tatted, and Tempting) has me wanting to read more with these type of characters.

Without a doubt a great story about a deaf man, and one of my favorite books is Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan.

Thanks for responding. Archer's Voice is available on KU, which figures. I cancelled my subscription last week, because I seldom use it.

Never Seduce a Scot is a great recommendation! Unfortunately, I've already read it. I'm thinking a re-read may be in order.

Playing the Part by Darcy Daniel The hero is blind and the heroine is an actress trying to research playing a blind person. It's been a little bit since I've read it but I don't think it was too steamy, from what I remember.
The Wright Brother by Marie Hall I didn't rate this one too high but that's just me...
Silence (Silence, #1) by Natasha Preston Loved this duet. The heroine is mute. They used to be free on Kindle but it's been a year or two since I purchased them,

Maybe Someday (Maybe, #1) by Colleen Hoover I know the hero is mute or deaf but I haven't officially started this one yet.

I definitely say Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan is a must read!

(I went through a little period where all I wanted to read was blind/deaf/mute books. I got most of them from searching "blind deaf mute" in the list section here on goodreads.)

Also, if you haven't already.. Logan's story is continued in book two of The Reed Brothers series. :)

This was a really good book. I enjoyed it too but forgot about and I want to add another really good book was Without Words by Ellen O'Connell . Heroine is mute but super smart. Loved the couple.
