Kim (kadykayf) I read this a while ago, but I was really underwhelmed by it. I kept hoping the author would take it further than she did, twisting it even more. I love the original Alice books and love remakes too (I actually have 2 at home to read right now: Alice and After Alice), but I keep hoping for ones that are closer to American McGee's Alice (which is a totally awesome game).
I never did read the sequel to Splintered and after hearing about it, I'm not really all that interested to either.
I am curious to hear other's thoughts though. I have teen friend who just loves this series, so maybe I'm just missing something (or too old and jaded ;))

Bonnie (bonbon_shaw) I read this book about a year and half ago, actually I listened to it on audio. I don't think I would have found it as interesting had I just read a paper copy. I have held off on the others in the series because I'm waiting to listen to them on audio. I felt I could visualize everything much better having someone describe things to me verbally. I gave the book 4 stars.

Shaylin (shayla11) I've started in on it and so far I'm intrigued. I just hope it doesn't get too cliché and fall into the insta-love and whininess that a lot of YA does.

Alyce Hunt (alliesaur) | 4 comments It took me a very long time to get into Splintered when I read it, but I ended up really enjoying it. I liked Unhinged a lot more - I think it's one of those series that gets better with installments - and I have the third book, Ensnared, that I'm hoping to get around to at some point this month.
It's a very creepy retelling, and I think that's why I liked it - I don't want to say too much, because I can't remember exactly what happened in which book, but I did get shivers down my spine multiple times which I don't get often. Hopefully the third book will be just as good as I'm expecting!

Sarah Cassidy This book was okay but I have to say I definitely preferred the second book. I meant to get around to reading the last one, but I kind of got bored by the story. I'm still glad I read it though.

Cathie (catitude) Loved, loved this book!! :-). everything. about. it.

Was so captivated by this book I even went to the author's website and found her music playlist that she listened to while she was writing this book. I copied it to my 8tracks account. If you want to hear the music that she put to each character and event you can listen here: http://8tracks.com/shortcuttohappines...

Zala I really liked the twist on Wonderland and its inhabitants, but the characters were not that good. Except one. I still have to read the third book though.
