Build it on a heavily wooded island on a sloping site. We can have it all.

Janet Stokes | 485 comments Excellent, Michael. The river falls to the sea rapidly and the house is half way up the hill about a mile from the beach. LOVE it.

Fish tanks are so soothing, and sometimes mesmerizing--you can watch them for hours.

Janet Stokes | 485 comments I want a mummy cat and 2 kittens and also a bunny rabbit. They are all friends, BFFs, including the dog.

Now name the dog, cat, 2 kittens, and the bunny.

Janet Stokes | 485 comments Yeah, that too. But we have all our beloved pets around to entertain us also.

Yes! You can't have ideal reading room without your dog!

Beautiful carved bookcases to hold all your books.

Or how about a library that is 2 stories high with an open A-frame roof at the top, so that there is a balcony running all the way around on the second floor, and you can look over the railing to the floor below. That way you could have the French patio doors on the first floor on one side looking out to the beach, and an outside glass conservatory on the second floor balcony on the other side of the house that looks out over the garden in the front, and the woods in the back. <><

ETA
I forgot to mention that I've actually been in a place that has a library like that only the beach is on a lake.... oooo and it had a HUGE fireplace at one end of it. <><
