I'll second The Story of my Life. It's actually the only book I have on a shelf called "Never Finished", because I tried to read it and just abandoned it. I believe I'll take it up again.

I'd like to nominate The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I don't know if you'll count it because it isn't post 1900 but it was published in 1890 so literally 10 years before criteria
