With all the holidays coming up in the next couple of months, reading time will a precious commodity. With that in mind, I challenge all of us to take on the challenge of reading a short story collection. Short story collections range from a set of interconnected stories from the same author to stories with a similar theme from different authors to anything in between.
Short stories have been a particular favorite of mine over the past several years and there are a handful that I think back on regularly, so for this challenge I’m going to read The Love of a Good Woman: Stories by Alice Munro. I’ve read a handful of her stories in the past, but have never had the pleasure of reading one of her collections.
