Will do my best to read it soon, although currently running round in ever decreasing circles trying to get my well meaning but seemingly technophobic friends to cope with the Herculean task of pre-ordering my book.
"I can't log in on my iPad"
"I forgot my password"
"I don't like using credit cards on new sites"
"Can you just buy a paperback and I'll give you the money"
LOL

I absolutely LOVED it, but I'm really sorry, I gave it four stars because there were a lot of proofreading details.
Honestly, I didn't want to nitpick but there were several per chapter and a couple pulled me up completely as I tried to decide what was really meant.
But please note, the story was actually superb, brilliant, funny, poignant, and gutsy.
I bloody loved it and would have given it five stars if it had benefited from the Inkshares editing process.
My first Kindle book is Time Tunnel to Londinium if you fancy checking it out.
It is quite short and broadly aimed at younger readers but if anyone does want to give it a review that would be lovely.

You created a wonderful story that reflected something that has upset me about the childhood version for many years.
How could any woman possibly ever love a king who was so dreadful in so many ways. Greed, and selfishness, threats to kill someone if she can't do what her father lied about. Stupid enough to believe the lie in the first place.
Your story, centred as it was on THE really central character, and culminating in the only truly happy ending that could come was both a breath of fresh air, and also an unexpected pleasure.
Will review on Amazon soon. If I don't please remind me. I won't be offended as I forget stuff all the time.

Oh wow, thanks! I always had problems with that tale and who the girl ended up with (the king kept promising to kill her and still she married him...whaaa?) and I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one!
Okay, consider this a bit of an unintentional reminder BUT could you also cross-post your review here on Goodreads?

Hit me up if interest for a PDF copy
The story centres around a down-on-his-luck guitarist named Ben Bains finding work playing gigs at funerals. It is during such performances that he catches the attention of a disturbed teenage girl - one who develops a concerning obsession the failed rockstar.
