NotForLong | 32 comments Ta-dah! So, plot discussion, OCs, or do you like to just like to jump in more? I'm cool with whatever.

message 2: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Okay, not to sound like an ignorant idiot because I swear I knew this back when I had my first account, but what does OC stand for?

message 3: by NotForLong (new)

NotForLong | 32 comments Haha, it's totally cool, I have questions like that all the time. It means 'Original Character' ^_^

message 4: by Rosaleen (last edited Mar 28, 2014 01:29PM) (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) See that's what I thought, but I didn't want to pretend I knew what I was talking about and confuse the hell out of you.

So I know you said you don't have limits, so you're okay with cussing and everything and taking certain scenes to PM? And so far I don't have any plot ideas.

message 5: by NotForLong (new)

NotForLong | 32 comments Correct, I'm okay with all of that :)

Okay, same, I don't have many ideas. We could always have our OCs start out on their first day at the gifted school and go from there. Being in a new school and having them meet and all could be fun, and we could think of stuff as we went along. ^_^

message 6: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Sounds perfect! Might take me awhile to get my characters up since I'm at work, but I'll try my best to get them done ASAP

message 7: by NotForLong (new)

NotForLong | 32 comments Okay, cool, I'll get to work on mine too!

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Oh! And I just wanted to put a little down for the school.

St. Catherine's is a school located smack in the center of Seattle, and despite it's obvious religious name, the school specializes in one thing: child prodigies. Whatever talent in the arts one may have, they can apply and be accepted into the optional boarding school to fine-tune their skills into something they'll make a living out of. It is run by Headmistress Molly Reagan.

Students who travel long distances, including out of state, are required to live on campus in the dorms, and those who live within the Seattle boundaries and nearby cities are allowed to go home at the end of the day, but also have the option of boarding.

Freshman are required to take at least one semester of basic courses in all fields: theater, dancing, art, band, etc. before they are allowed to choice which path they chose to go down for the rest of their high school career.

The "boarding house" is an apartment building owned by the school, and each apartment has three small bedrooms, a bathroom, a living area and a kitchen. Three students per dorm. Curfew for boarding students is midnight on weekdays and two AM on weekends. Past curfew, any excess noise will result in punishment from round-the-clock hall monitors. Any student outside of their own assigned dorms past curfew will face the consequences.

Classes start at 7:30 and run till 2:30; the school is open to any student for extracurricular activities or practice time until midnight.

It is an open campus only to the upperclassmen (Juniors and Seniors) so traveling off campus during off periods and lunch is allowed to those who present an ID before exiting.

Students are not required to wear a uniform on campus, but when traveling off campus for a school retreat or trip, the boys must wear khaki pants, black shoes, white, long-sleeve oxfords, green sweater vests with the St. Catherine's logo and a gold tie. Girls are required to wear khaki-colored skirts, at least mid-thigh length, white tights, plain black high heels, long-sleeve oxfords, green sweater vests with the St. Catherine's logo and a gold tie. Long hair must be tied into a "ballerina" bun, and any hats, jewelry, purses or accessories that do not match the St. Catherine's school colors (forest green, gold and white) are prohibited.

Any drinking or use of illegal drugs is prohibited on campus, and will result in immediate expulsion.

Small pets are allowed but must be approved by the headmistress before being brought onto campus.

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Full name: Viktoria Shannon Murphy-Taylor
Nickname: Vik
Age: 17
Grade: 11/Junior
Appearance:

She has long, naturally curly chocolate hair that she usually wears pin straight and/or in a ponytail, and her she has small, pretty features with eyes that match her hair in color.
Height: 5'1"
Weight/body type: Vik only weighs about 110 pounds, which she thinks is way too much for her height. She has muscular legs and abs from dancing, but her arms are terribly skinny, and she has an hour glass frame.

Scars, piercings, tattoos, birthmarks, etc: No major scars apart from what are left on her feet from blisters, and the only piercings she has are double piercings on her ears.
Personality: People usually interpret her as painfully shy, but in all actuality, Vik is just very reserved and keeps to herself. She usually feels she doesn't have much to contribute to a conversation or school discussion, and would rather keep her mind wandering inside her own head. Once she finally opens up, which is only around her closest friends - well, friend rather - or when she's drunk, she's outgoing and bubbly and rather sarcastic and hilarious. At school, if she's not sitting in a class about the history of jazz or the calculus class she failed last semester, she's in the studio. Dancing is all she does; it's the only thing she thinks she's ever been good at. She often daydreams too much and loses track of conversations and lectures, and her grades in the classroom prove it.

Talent: Irish step dancing

History: Vik grew up in New York with her mother, father and younger brother, to put it nicely her family had money. Her father had his heart set on making sure both his kids got into dancing, and though Vik is in love with it, she knows her brother despises the sport and is cursing the day he has to leave middle school and move to Seattle to go to the same school she's at. Vik's been dancing her whole life, and when she's not out competing, she's spending every second of her life practicing. She's won multiple titles, but has yet to reach her goal of winning first at Worlds. Her parents are now divorced, and her mother lives in Denver with her brother Jacen and her father still lives in Manhattan.

Other: Really her only friend is Caesar.

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Awesome! :D yeah, I do Irish dance, so I figured I might as well do something I know instead of faking something I don't understand like ballet or jazz or something

NotForLong | 32 comments Full name: Reed Damon Johnson

Nickname: Just Reed. Occasionally R.J., but only with certain people

Age: 17 perhaps.

Grade: 11th

Appearance: http://i.pinger.pl/pgr25/f18ad21a0003...
That's the picture. His eyes can be blue, not as much piercing as much as he pays attention to everything

Height: 6'2

Weight/body type: Fairly athletic, fairly muscular. He's not used to being tall yet, so he's a bit awkward in the way he lumbers around. It's sort of endearing though.

Scars, piercings, tattoos, birthmarks, etc: He has a birthmark the size of a penny on his back that is sort of shaped like an 'up' arrow. He has a scar on his cheek from when he was surf boarding in Hawaii and the board flew up and hit him from the water.

Personality: He tends to not have a lot of presence, surprisingly. Reed most often is overlooked, or the unsung hero in thing, although he is rather gifted in plenty ways. Reed is on the laid-back side of things, and has faith in the fact things work out the way they need to be. For example, if he ended up homeless, didn't get the job of his dreams, etc., he'd just figure that it was fine. He's a simple guy that doesn't need a lot to be happy. That being said, this view can make him apathetic. He doesn't participate in things that give him no interest, even if he is good at them. He's not shy, but tends to be quiet, and in a way, mysterious. He isn't arrogant, rather humble really, but he never second guesses himself. Reed is hard to fully read, reach, or understand, and some people tend to think he's weird, having a unique vibe to him, especially when deep in thought. When he does have something he wants though, his determination and focus are practically unmatched. He's fairly kind though, and a good casual guy to talk to.

Talent: Guitar, writing music. He's not half bad at singing too, but very much prefers being the instrumental than the lead singer.

History: Reed was always that type of kid that would annoy everyone because he was good at nearly everything from the day he was born. He was never the best, but things still came easy for him. Due to the early onset of medical conditions though, Reed became deaf in one ear. When he decided to try his hand at guitar, it was really difficult for him. It was naturally difficult, so that's why he liked it. Same with song writing. He sucks at writing naturally. He has to work really hard to get it on point. That's when Reed makes something good though.

He grew up in a shack in Hawaii with his uncle on the beach, as his dad was more or less a dead beat, and his mom died of lung cancer when he was young. Sure, it was semi-scarring, being brought up without real parents, but Reed sort of makes light of sad things and sweeps it under the rug. He entirely throws it out of his mind until something brings it up again. Besides, his uncle is a nice man. When the opportunity was given to go to a gifted school, he decided he'd do it, go where the wind would take him. He's not big o wearing a stuffy uniform all the time, and being in a place so stiff and structured. The only thing he's ever really been interested in was his music though, so why not?

Other: This isn't his first year at St. Catherine's, but he doesn't really have a lot friends, honestly, completely under the radar.
And he has pet angelfish he intends to keep in his dorm. When he watches them swim it helps him think.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Full name: Diane Juliette Thomas (...She absolutely hates her middle name, so she tells you it, she'll make you swear to secrecy haha)
Nickname: Annie. If people call her Diane, she gets pretty vexed.
Age: 17? Can be adjusted
Grade: 11th
Appearance:
http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/201...
The eyes can be light brown.
Height: 5'4
Weight/body type: Curvy, fit. She isn't a twig or have a ballerina body, and she won't apologize though she wants to at times. (read backstory)
Scars, piercings, tattoos, birthmarks, etc: She wants tattoos and she wants piercings. She totally wants to go punk, but it'd go against her dance career. And the dress code.
Personality: She's snarky, tomboy-ish, moody, standoff-ish, annnnd totally unconfident in herself most of the time. Although she is much better than she used to be. Annie tends to have a bravado up a lot of the time, and tends to be on the 'loud and chaotic' side of things because she can't stand not being seen or noticed. Annie in reality is afraid of many things, but she tries not to expose weakness. She acts so tough, but mysteriously, when something sad happens, she'll be the first to shed a tear. She has got bullied in her past for being a bit obnoxious, but she has settled down a bit compared to her younger days. Annie has just always been overly sensitive, feeling things at a higher level than most, with too many thoughts pinging back and forth in her head. Still, on the outside, she has a temper, and people regard her with slight caution.
Talent: Dance. It used to be in contemporary and ballet, but now it's more hip hop.
History: Dance was really her only way out. Her family was always good people, but her hometown near Boston was filled with crime and corruption. Through the years, Annie could have gotten messed up with alcohol in drugs, but his dance, she ended up with a different sickness; fact is, one in three dancers acquire eating disorders. With anorexia, it completely consumed her life, and it was her way of controlling it, from twelve to fourteen. Of course, when Annie was found out, she had to stop her ballet, and get better, mentally and physically. Returning to the dance scene though as a hip hop dancer, where being thin wasn't as important as being fit, was a blessing in disguise. She's a natural. Annie tends to completely want to hide the fact she was ever insecure, so she goes a bit over-the-top in her personality. She still struggles, the eating disorder thoughts not entirely gone, but it really is a much better contrast than before. She's excited to go to St. Catherine.
Other: This is her first year at St. Catherine because it was held up by her eating disorder.
Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Full name: Caesar Samuel Wesley
Nickname: Caesar
Age: 17
Grade: 11/Junior
Appearance:
Height: 5'11"
Weight/body type: 174lbs; muscular yet thin build
Scars, piercings, tattoos, birthmarks, etc: Tattoos shown in pictures.
Personality: Caesar's a total ladies man. If flirting was a talent, he would have graduated years ago. He's sly, cheesy, sexy and romantic all wrapped into one, and if it wasn't for his good looks, most girls wouldn't put up with all the bullshit that came along with him. He doesn't do relationships; he prefers one night stands or late night hook-ups, but he'll sweet talk you into thinking he wants to marry you. He's rather brilliant, despite the fact of never paying attention in class. He's rather hilarious and constantly joking and he rarely keeps to himself. He's outgoing and encouraging, and to his friends he's a total sweetheart.
Talent: Art, specifically painting and drawing. Not so great with sculpting or photography.
History: He's lived in Seattle his whole life with his divorced mother and younger brother, and he lives with them in their shitty apartment on the outskirts of town. He does his best to have a positive attitude, but with his mother an alcoholic addicted to heroin and his older brother away somewhere in Florida, he does his best to take care of his younger brother as well as himself, but with all the money going towards what they can afford of St. Catherine's tuition, there's not much left. He's rather ashamed of his life, and only Viktoria has seen what his life is really life outside of being St. Catherine's Best Playboy.
Other: Best friends with Vik
NotForLong | 32 comments ~Annie~
Annie already missed her 'I Love Boston' sweatshirt, and it'd only been fifteen minutes since she got off the final bus to Seattle. Not to mention she had some serious jet lag. Tights, skirts, sweater vests...she normally wouldn't be caught dead in anything dressy. At least they won't know that. she thought, 'they' being the common enemy of normal preppy students. Although, in truth...she looked about as lost as a freshman. Plus, she tripped on her black heels for the millionth time. Damn it! What was it about dancers supposedly having good balance!?
All Annie really knew was she was supposed to find this one Headmistress chick. She looked at her crumpled up schedule paper. It read, 'Molly Reagan'. She just walked straight, even if there was people in her way, practically ramming into them. She just needed to seem like she was on an important mission, like, like she knew exactly what she was doing (because shoving people totally made it seem like she had things held together, according to her), like she had it under control.
Finally, she found the check-in center at a building shockingly labeled 'Check-in Center', the Headmistress swarmed. As impatient as she was, she started maneuvering herself to the front instantly.
And that's when she became responsible for shattering glass.
~Reed~
Despite the chaos of all the noise around him, friends reuniting with friends, people squealing or complaining about their dorms, etc., Reed was able to feel relatively relaxed. He was closing his eyes, slumping against a wall, patiently waiting to get his pet fishes approved. That is, until a thick Boston accent stammered, "Holy shi- fu- motherfu- mother- uh, mother- mothertrucker!"
His blue eyes snapped open as glass hit the ground, and he realized some girl had hit his fishtank with her knee on accident, and with the glass broken, water was leaking. Instead of helping him out, she said baffled, "You can have pets here!?"
Covering up the leak, some kid tossed him some duct tape. It was pretty surprising someone even noticed him enough to assist. "Would there be any other reason I'd be carrying around a tank of angel fish?" Reed questioned with dryly.
She glared at him, "Well this is just wonderful. Day one, and I'll go down as a fish murderer."
Reed shrugged casually, "I figured you were new here."
"What's that supposed to mean!?"
"...Nothing. Just your voice is sort of recognizable, I would of remembered."
"There are a million people here. How would you be able to remember voices?" There was no winning with this girl.
"I remember stuff well." Reed said vaguely, not rude, just calm. He pretty much noticed everything about his surroundings.
She literally started marching off, her knee still bleeding from the glass. "Whatever." The girl snatched a clipboard and crossed off her name herself, then was gone.
He wasn't really sure what just happened, but as soon as his were approved, he started toward his on campus dorm.
((Note: So it kinda, no surprise, ended up really random and hard to respond to. And also, normally I try to keep the interaction with both of my OCs at a minimum if they aren't already friends, because sometimes it seems like they're hogging the spotlight if that happens, so I failed on that part. xD I can try to edit it ASAP if you draw a blank. I really didn't give much to respond to.))
message 26: by Rosaleen (new)
Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) ((No, it's totally fine! I love it!))
Viktoria stood in against the wall near the check-in table in the offices, her arms crossed over her chest that read, in gold lettering on a forest green shirt, "ST. CATHERINE'S: HOME OF THE GIFTED WARRIORS" in a rather ugly font. She felt rather queasy being surrounded by so many people - new students, transfers, freshman - as well as the upperclassmen like herself who either volunteered or were volunteered to be there to help the new students. She was the latter of the two volunteers. "I'm going to kick your ass for signing me up for this," she grumbled under her breath as she eyed anyone who walked too close. She would have rather been anywhere else in the world right now. In fact, the Sahara Desert was sounding really nice right now.
Caesar stood a foot or two in front of her, giving a flirty smile to the sophomore who was asking him questions about the school pool. He handed her a campus map and sent her and her friends on their way before turning back to give Vik a grin. "C'mon, Vikky. Step out of you shell. Make friends. Welcome some kids into the glorious school of St. Catherine's."
Vik sneered, looking down the hallway towards the sound of something breaking like vase being thrown onto the ground, before she decided this wasn't her scene. "This school is shit."
Caesar snickered. "I know. Just spend some time with me. I'm lonely," he pleaded. He knew it was pointless. Vik wasn't as sociable as him, and he knew she didn't want to watch him find his next... target.
She shook her head before kicking herself off the wall. "I'll pass," she hissed crudely. He should have known better than to con her into something like this. Vik headed towards the front doors of the school, pushing past them to head outside towards the dorms.
Caesar sighed softly as he watched Vik disappear into the crowd. He kind of felt guilty, but now he was alone to do what he wanted without her judgey little eyes on him. He turned to look down the hall, seeing a girl walking towards the table very intently. Well, she looked like she was running maybe, like she was on a mission from God. He gave his signature Caesar smile towards her. Assuming she was a new student heading to check in anyway, he said, "Hey gorgeous. Want to give me your name and I can-" He stopped shortly, just as the girl grabbed the clipboard that rested loosely in his hand and quickly scratched her own name off before she continued on in her fast-paced walking/running. He stood stunned, watching her walk off, his jaw half open.
I'll get started writing the reply and all, but I was wondering, should Annie and Vik end up in the same dorm? And/or Reed and Caesar, since it makes it more likely for unlikely friendships to form? Or separate? :) ))
NotForLong | 32 comments ~Reed~
The swarm of people didn't seem to notice him, yet another forest-green-gold-and-white dot in the crowd that didn't really matter, and didn't have much direction. Reed tended to often question why an arts' school made everyone look the same. They all acted very differently though, he'd give the students that. Treading through the crowd was like treading through a mucky orange grove though. He silently thanked God he got taller over the summer; now he couldn't get trampled. At least one ear is deaf. Not as loud.
Reed was one of the first of any students to the dorms, his door number 1.1.5. He didn't have friends he needed to meet like the rest of them, or obligations. Really, it was only a short while until they went to the 'entrance ceremony' where it welcomed all the students for a new school year. He only bothered to come in here because his fish tank was apparently in danger in the outside world at St. Catherine's, and he'd not want it to be broken more than necessary. He set it down.
Looking around silently, he ended up opening the window, and then his guitar case, playing for a second. Without an amp, no one outside could hear it unless they were highly attentive. He figured that he should count himself lucky that he got out of the fray of students. Even though social situations and people didn't really bother him that much, watching from the roof, he wondered how many kids down there seriously wanted to get away from a situation like that.
~Annie~
Her head rang with imaginary action music playing, but maybe it should of been playing 'Miss Independent' at the moment. Annie didn't even notice the extraordinarily hot guy about to talk to her. And it's not like most extraordinarily hot guys approached someone peculiar like her either. Not noticing Caesar partially had to do with her rare tunnel-vision at the moment to figure everything out on her own, not ask for help, and have minimal fish and animal casualties in the process.
What she did notice though shortly after crossing off her name was a strange look or two, particularly by some girls. Annie had absolutely no idea what she'd done; that she'd just missed a possible 'privilege' to be St. Catherine's Best Playboy's temporary fling. Equally as confused as the girls that were confused at her, she just gave them a 'don't mess with me' look and moved forward. Clearly, she has some serious social grace. Better watch out.
The dorms...the dorms... aw, screw it. She sat down on a bench and took off her heels for a second, reminding herself she was wearing a skirt and she couldn't sit anyway she wanted. Annie attempted to make sense of things by knowing what would happen today. She once again intensely examined her crumpled up what paper like it'd give her all the answers if she glared at it.
'The school schedule on the first day:
1. Entrance ceremony/assembly
2.Go to all six classes for fifteen minute tutorials of what the year would be like
3. Lunch
4. (Finally) Get situated in dorms
5. Dinner
6. Free time up until midnight'
((I can change the schedule by the way :) ))
message 30: by Rosaleen (new)
Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) ((No it's awesome! Sorry it took so long; I'm finally online now :D))
Vik pulled her keys out of her pocket while she was crossing her street, her mind thinking about way too many things besides what was on the school's schedule for today. She reached the dorm building, climbing the stairs to the third floor to her dorm. She was dreading meeting her roommates; she'd never minded sharing, but the obligation to make friends with strangers that you had to live with for a year was awkward and she wasn't good at it. She just need to scrap out another year with passing grades in her required classes and win as many competitions as she could before regionals, not make friends.
Her dorm was still empty and two out of the rooms remained unclaimed - besides her own of course. She'd shown up earlier with Caesar, so she got first pick of the rooms and counter space in the bathroom. She knew if she missed the assembly, she'd be screwed, but she was sick of wearing her cheesy mascot t-shirt, so she changed into the required uniform vest before she headed back out once more and down the stairs, humming the song of her set quietly.
"Caesar, don't you have the assembly to get to?" Katelyn called down the hall, and the blonde, scruffy boy turned around to give her a grin.
"Didn't I tell you? I graduate early and they hired me in the art department, Ms. K," he teased, and the tall redhead roll her eyes.
"Nice try, Playboy," she said as she walked towards him, handing a set of keys. "Go put your uniform on, and hurry up. Headmistress will be very furious if you're late."
He couldn't stop smiling at the gorgeous teacher he'd had a massive crush on since freshman year. "If that's the case, I hope she puts you in charge of my punishment again," he called as she walked away, not saying anything as did, and he couldn't help but laugh. He was convinced she secretly wanted him, and he wasn't going to rest until she admitted it.
As he started towards the front doors of the building, he spotted the same girl who had very forcibly crossed her name off the list of new students, looking rather confused at a set of papers. He was almost afraid to speak to her, as if she'd turn around and hit him or something. "You know, going to this school for two years has it's advantages," he told her, his hands in his pockets as he stopped in front of her. "I mean, I know this school like the back of my hand. For instance, I know exactly where the lunch lady hides her booze. Only if you're into that kind of thing, of course." He gave her a wink and his signature smile.
~Reed~
He had a couple minutes alone, but was cut off by Ms. K, who seemed to be making sure there weren't any last minute stragglers for the ceremony. Playing his guitar gave him away, and she unlocked his door, poking her head in. Reed thought her face looked red from something earlier, but it went away fast and he assumed it was just the lighting. Katelyn admittedly was hot, and it certainly didn't slip by him, but he tended to hold grudges against teachers, and them against him and his apathy. "Reed Johnson, if you're doing nothing, could you please go around outside and start to tell people to get to the ceremony?"
He frowned slightly. Reed wouldn't of called playing guitar 'nothing'. He wasn't the whining type, but it sounded dull, so he asked in a bored tone as his eyes looked far away as they always did, "Is there a reason it's my job?"
Ms. K didn't get irritated, just logically stated, "This year, if you're yet again not joining a club or volunteering, I'm going to make sure you contribute in some shape or form. How about you just get one person?"
She didn't look like she was going to take no for an answer, so he shrugged, put his guitar back in it's case, and slumped it over his shoulder. As Katelyn walked off, he questioned, "Wait, how do I know which people have you already told about the assem-" It was no use. She was gone.
He started dragging his feet as he went down the stairs, when he heard the walking of someone else, so he went slightly faster to catch up. His job would be end quicker this way.
He spotted the girl. Reed didn't really know her name, but he recognized her as the girl that didn't talk much, which didn't really bother him, since neither did he particularly. It was sort of surprising though that she wasn't well-known because she was prettier than a lot of the popular girls, honestly.
"Hey." Reed said casually, not intending to startle her from behind. "I sort of got stuck with the job of informing someone about the schedule." A side of his mouth curved up into a lazy slight smile, just being friendly. "You probably know this, but a pointless assembly starts about now."
~Annie~
Annie almost always looked unapproachable from a distance. Growing up in the rougher part of Massachusetts, you had to look like you weren't an easy target for crime, and it sort of stuck with her . Her concentration was broken as she realized someone was talking to her.
An eyebrow raised sharply as she looked at the stranger. She cracked her knuckles, which was actually a nervous habit, though most didn't perceive it that way. This guy had to be either stupid or brave to talk to her. Annie sort of thought all people were morons. He was an attractive moron though. Not that it matters. Psh, nope, don't care.
She opened up her mouth to speak, but the wink and smile seriously caught her off guard. Annie knew he was way too flirtatious to not be a player, which made her guard go up. Unfortunately, he wasn't arrogant in a rude way as much as in a charming way, so it gave her less to get mad about. Words, words...what are words again? Oh yeah, now I remember.
Annie at last looked at him levelly, seeming fired up. "Actually, I would prefer to not infinitely mess up my first day here because I end up drunk, thank you very much. And I know exactly where I'm going." She didn't try to be mean; she was just defensive. She slid on her heels, beginning to walk in one direction, making herself not look back. She'd set a goal not to ask for assistance, at least today, after all.
Unfortunately, Annie was going to way, which quickly became clear to her when she saw the entrance to the school, clearly not where the auditorium would be.
She swiveled around to face him. Even though she'd clearly made a mistake, her voice was a cross of pouting and conviction as she emphasized to him with arms crossed, "Like I said, I know where I'm going."
Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) ((So sorry I haven't replied yet! I'm just letting you know that I'm not ignoring you or anything, I just really want my reply to be detailed, which is difficult from my phone, so I should have a reply up in an hour maybe, hopefully less))
Btw, as you can tell, I write quite a bit, but you never have to match it. I'm happy with whatever comes naturally to you. ^_^))
Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) ((Shit. I'm so sorry. One hour turned into four hours gah))
Vik stopped, wide eyed as she looked at the boy who stopped her. No one usually willingly stopped her to talk to her; she either looked too intimidating, or no one had a reason. She just thought she was too utterly boring to have anyone want to speak to her outside of the classroom, and she liked to keep it that way. Conversation wasn't her thing.
She gave a slight nod, relieved to hear that he was simply a messenger. "I wouldn't be wearing this thing unless I had somewhere to be," she said in a too sarcastic tone for the stranger as she gestured to the sweater vest. It was hideous green and made her look three sizes bigger than her petite, curvy size actually was. "But thanks for the... reminder," she said with a forced laugh, still mentally trying to figure out why he was talking to her.
As she started back down the stairs, she kicked herself for being such a sarcastic asshole. If she'd just been nice and appreciated the very attractive boy's very nice gesture, she might have been on her way flirting with said cute boy, but instead she was dancing down the stairs on the balls of her feet to a tune only she could hear, thinking about how much she hated herself.
Caesar watched with a raised brow and crossed arms as he watched her head down the wrong side of the hallway, choking back a laugh as she spun around and headed back towards him. When she passed him, he immediately fell into step beside her. "I don't believe you," he told her, hands in his pockets as he walked beside her with a cocky grin. "I mean, you're brand new. This is a huge, old campus. Guarantee you're going to walk into a closet in the basement instead of your classroom on the second floor later today, and you're going to kick yourself and think, 'why didn't I just swallow my pride and accept that cute boy's offer for a tour when I had the chance?'"
Something about this feisty, defensive girl pulled Caesar towards her. Maybe it was because he loved the challenge of a chase, and he knew she wouldn't be an easy one to get under his thumb, but she had this rare beauty that could easily intimidate anyone else, and when paired with the "get out of my way or I'll kick your ass" attitude, he found her... hot.
He stopped walking when he reached the doors to the former chapel that now served as an assembly center of some sorts, standing in front of her as he grinned at her. "So, what do you say... Diane Thomas?" he said as he read the name she'd crossed off on his clipboard. "Let me be your tour guide." He raised a brow at her, as if it was her turn, like he was challenging her to accept.
Okay, but I'm really sad. Because I don't have time to post tonight. And now ideas will buzz in my head all day tomorrow untouched! After school, I will though, ASAP! I'm sorry about this!))
