finished a case report for school and I'll be starting this one by this afternoon!! Thinking it'll be as fast-paced as the last one so might be able to finish in one day :)

It definitely was! I'm finished.

(view spoiler)[Okay, this book was kind of chaotic. When they started time traveling through a sword to hell riding on hellions I had to suspend my disbelief real hard, lol. And I'm disappointed by the world building. We never find out if the angels are actually heavenly beings or just creatures from another world. We don't know for sure who killed Gabriel (it's implied it's Uriel I guess?) and the reason Gabriel brought them all there and told them those lies about the nephilim. Was Gabriel really insane? Was the power getting to his head? We don't even see Michael at all even though he's supposed to be the new Messenger. I don't know, I feel like there's a lot of random stuff happening and not enough explanations. I did feel bad for Beliel though. At least now we know why he is the way he is.

The first book was so great, but I feel less impressed by the other two, and I really wish we were told more about the angels and where they came from because it's just a question mark until the end. Raffe sacrificing his wings for Penryn is so sad especially because all he's wanted from the start was to get them back, and I wonder how they're going to stay together when he's immortal. Is he just gonna be on Earth then? Also where are all the female angels? I have so many questions. (hide spoiler)]

I’m sorry my day didn’t go as planned!! I had to take my kitten for an emergency vet visit. I think he’s okay, but waiting on results. I plan on starting later tonight!

No rush at all! Hopefully your kitten is alright :)

He’s doing much better! I took him to get neutered & there were complications after & somehow ended up with fluid in his lungs. Very scary, but now he’s slowly getting back to himself :,) thank goodness

I’ll update as I read the book though :)

(view spoiler)[ after 50% this book took a turn!! I was disappointed with the ending... I loved the romance and how Penryn & Raffe ended up together, but it felt liek there was a fighting scene to only end with a happily ever after... I don't know what I was expecting, but it felt very anticlimatic. I agree on the world building.. there was a lack in understanding the angels and where they were derived from.

the first book was my favorite, the 2nd was my least favorite. I LIKED this one, but so much was left out regarding the angels . I would not have minded a "few years later" epilogue exploring what happened to the world. (hide spoiler)]
