Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling is a book that would captivate anyone’s mind. The book follows the story of a famous teenage wizard, Harry Potter. He discovers that the infamous Sirius Black, who has escaped from the most secure wizard prison in the world, is out to kill him. Harry and his friends must fight for their lives and discover the truth about Sirius. I loved this book; it was truly fascinating from the first to last page. It does look like a long read, but you are not able to put this book down. It is a real page turner. Besides the shocking ending, I enjoyed all the magical ideas that J.K. Rowling comes up with. For example, her detailed descriptions of wizard candy, magical creatures, and especially the wizarding sport of Quidditch. I expected this book would be highly entertaining based on the previous two books I read and all the reviews from my peers. I recommend this book to anyone who can read, but they should start with the first book in the series. J.K. Rowling has a wonderful ability to captivate the mind of readers in her remarkable series of Harry Potter.
