Awesome, Karen, we are very much on the same page with both this book and the Grisha series :) Surprise surprise ;)

So I am disappointed that some of you didn't like the Grisha series. So maybe I will pass on it (you know, too many books, too little time and all that). I think I will read book two though of this series.
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying it and you finally got a chance to read it :) We can also all read the sequel together when it comes out :)
I know a lot of people who really did love the Grisha, but for some reason I just couldn't connect with the characters, though the worldbuilding was pretty well done.

I like the Grisha Trilogy a lot, but I wasn't as in love with the characters as everyone else seems to be. Actually, for me, it was a good story, but not great until the last book in the trilogy...I think Leigh Bardugo's writing gets better with each book. Six of Crows was 10 times as good IMO as Ruin and Rising, which was a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy! I'd say if you read Shadow and Bone, and don't love it, but just think its okay, to keep reading the trilogy, each book gets better and better!

Crooked Kingdom comes out in September. That would be great if it is a group read.

I was thinking the same thing about her world building earlier today. I've had two people today ask me about the book.

Anyway, Six of Crows is one of my favorite reads of 2015. You just cant help but be hooked to their lives, even if you didnt want to sympathize with them in the first place.
I wasn't a huge fan of the Grisha series. I decided not to read the last book.
But I LOVED Six of Crows!
