Well holy crap about that virus! I read to page 182 last night and I was surprised at how choked up I was getting over McNulty when we only get to know him through a few messaging convos between him and Ezra... but damn :( and that scene with the infected Copernicious refugees... O_o wow. this book is not for the faint of heart or stomach!
I don't know why, but with the virus spreading and all the aggression it creates... I get some The Walking Dead vibes. xD I'm still a bit confused at parts, though...

I start to really like Mason now, he's so romantic.
I especially love the countdowns in this part, they get me sitting on the edge.

Well that took a turn especially in bay 4 and the crazed little girl! Poor McNulty!! I really like the character Ezra, where as i find Kady a but hard to like but i think thats because shes portrayed as being cold and a loner.
Plus "AIDAN is coming online" cant wait to see where that goes

Woah. Well, I was wondering if we knew what had happened to Kady's mom and now I know we kinda do, but not really. I'm hoping she's hiding somewhere? But I seriously doubt it. Kady's right, chances are she's either dead or afflicted and I'd rather she'd be dead. And McNulty? If he's also contaminated, I hope he still has a weapon on his side and still has the mind to end it all before it gets worse. God, can't believe I'm wishing this to him, but what are his chances?
So, I'm pretty hooked to this story. That said, not that much to the characters, although they've been growing on me. I guess that's not such a surprise, given the format, and that this story is much more about the plot than character development, although they do give some hints of development here and there, or at least show a new side to them. Like Byron, I didn't really like him at first and now I feel guilty because he's actually a pretty decent guy, who stands for what he believes is right.
And now, shit's about to go down. The Lincoln is there.
The underlying story here is so interesting. I seriously want to know what happens with the Lincoln and with AIDAN. While this book keeps pulling me in with the different scenarios developing, I still can't identify with the characters. Kady became much more personable though when she finally revealed what happened to her mom. Now we just have to figure out what's up with Ezra's mom. What do you all think of the character development so far?
I agree that the country grown definitely leaves me anxiously waiting for the attack. I also was surprised how attached I got to McNulty. I think it was the remarks about how he would have been a good dad that got me.
I hope the last half of the book is action packed. I have a feeling it will be.

Ok woooaaaahhhh. What a point to conclude part 2 at. It reminds of that AI movie with James McAvoy...Eagle Eye I think? Something or the other. I'm a little scared to find out if AIDAN has developed its own mind. Super creepy thought. The exchanges between Kady and Ezra were hilarious. Especially the I practiced kissing you in my head thing. So funny and cute. And Kady deflecting it all with humor. I'd totally do that. It didn't take long for the 2 of them to get over their break up at the start of the book. I expected it to last longer and add more to the tension, but it's cool.
The whole countdown to the Lincoln attacking made me actually sit up while I read. I was so nervous and I need to sleep for work but I can't wait to get into it tomorrow. TGIF tomorrow!
The part abt Kady's mum is so sad and heartbreaking. But I'm holding out hope, just as I am for McNulty. Fingers crossed.
Also, does anyone feel like Ezra's mum is going to turn out to be the psycho behind all of this sheez? Just me?
