This was a bookclub selection in the mid-1970s. Three friends, two men (one named David), one woman, go on a ski trip. They befriend a dorky guy who gets his legs broken by another skier, who 'skies through him' in an apparent attempt to make the 3 friends like her. They lead her on, and she'd killed in a sking accident by the end of the book.

David is described as having a body like a concrete lawn painted green after years of weight lifting. He may have been a musician (?).

The other man may be named Paul, and the woman may be Sandra, but I'm less sure about their names.

You can move it to solved: this is definitely "our three favorite little sociopaths," Peter, David and Sandy, in Come Winter (the sequel to Last Summer).

The reference to David's body being like a "concrete lawn painted green" occurs on page 9 of the Internet Archive copy (he is also identified as a professional flute player (or flutist, or flautist, or whatever) at the bottom of that page).
