Personally, I am rereading this series but so far, I think it is great. Unlike all the other stories, this one jumps right into action, from the beginning. However, my least favorite part of the book is that there are NO quidditch matches, which are some of my favorite parts of the books. Overall, this was a great entry, but not my personal favorite.
This is my favorite book so far. This is the one where it actually starts to feel like a proper series with an over-arching story-line, and not just a collection of episodes. The first three were good, but they were a little too formulaic and predictable.
I completely understand that, I agree that this is when the series truly forms, but, I wish that it had the long-running mysterious element of the first 3.
