Very bad NY Times review -- I am not sure Murakami actually finished the book...


A somewhat positive Washington Post review which includes references to Vonnegut which I think is fair.


The Guardian's review compares him to Dickens & Zola which seems much less fair--and other huge books like Checkpoint & Deception which I also do not think is really fair--but overall I think this is the only reader that really gets what Eggers is going for.

NY Times did a second review, I am guessing because Murakami was such a dick, that is much better--it compares him to Joan Didion which I love [though don't agree with--but, man who does not want to be compared to California's greatest critic] but still fairly negative on the book...
