I'm in no hurry. I can read this next month if you don't think you have time this month. So far this one's not love at first sight, so I can wait :P .

Really? O.O I know Jace from The mortal instruments [didn't like him]. If Christian is from 50 shades then I don't want to know XD.

It's interesting that he likes to steal queen chess pieces, I wonder why. And Christian obviously has some issues with sharing... that scene was awkward when he asked Jace if he wanted any tea.. Wonder what that's all about

I gave it a 4.7 rating and here's my review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

(view spoiler)
I've read 2 chapters today... me so fast... XD

You can? I'm still a little confused. Is he splitting with his old life, with his old side? Still don't know. :p

That's interesting that you think that Christian asked his mom to come and Jace didn't because by the end you see it kinda the opposite

I felt like you could see the "split" in Jace's mind. He was split between being an abuser and being a victim trying helplessly to get away from the bad in his life
Sixteen-Year-Old Jace Witherspoon arrives at the doorstep of his estranged brother Christian with a re-landscaped face (courtesy of his father’s fist), $3.84, and a secret.
He tries to move on, going for new friends, a new school, and a new job, but all his changes can’t make him forget what he left behind—his mother, who is still trapped with his dad, and his ex-girlfriend, who is keeping his secret.
At least so far.
Worst of all, Jace realizes that if he really wants to move forward, he may first have to do what scares him most: He may have to go back. Award-winning novelist Swati Avasthi has created a riveting and remarkably nuanced portrait of what happens after. After you’ve said enough, after you’ve run, after you’ve made the split—how do you begin to live again? Readers won’t be able to put this intense page-turner down."
Me and Rachael will read this. Feel free to join us. :)
