Jennifer, keep in mind that you see what's called the author dashboard. No one else sees it. I'm guessing that's where you're still seeing the old cover? On your author profile, the new cover is what's showing.

I was trying to add a cover to this book Playboy's Stories for Swinging Readers. This gets a bit complex so stay with me.

I was on a computer at one library that would have allowed me to upload a picture. At that time, Goodreads had a space for uploading a picture (the Browse section). But the system on that computer didn't allow me to create a picture (no Snipping tool). Then I switched to another computer at another library. These computers do have the Snipping tool which I have often used to my advantage. However, now a message appeared that stated "Your permissions will only allow the editing of the metadata." So once again I was unable to upload a picture.

What happened to the status of my permissions? Why did it disappear in the time during my transit from one computer to another? I'd like to add this picture since it exactly matches the copy that I have in my possession.

the only time non-librarians can upload covers is when creating the book in the first place. so if you created the GR entry for Playboy's Stories for Swinging Readers, the only chance you had for uploading a cover was before you hit save. after that, only the primary author or a GR librarian can muck with covers.

regardless, it looks like someone has uploaded the cover for you now.
