FINAL DISCUSSION! How did you guys like TDGoHH?? :-)
I really enjoyed this book! Glad I participated this month. I liked Delia's character, and I think her parents were wrong in the way they treated her after her incident...she really wasn't a troubled girl, just made one mistake, and look where their overreaction got her. I also liked how she was looking for clues from her aunt...it added a great mystery element. All the other ghost characters were great (except one...I'll mention that later) and added a good layer of depth to the story. I loved the cover art as well...definitely makes you gravitate towards this book!
I think I liked the before part better, as it was more creepy than the after section. I wish the before part was longer also. I thought the ending was a little anticlimactic and kind of predictable, with the whole "the curse is broken and everyone vanishes happily" thing. I also didn't like how time would randomly slow down for the ghosts...I didn't really get why that was included. I also didn't really see a point for Theo...he was just kind of...there. I would have liked to have seen more done with his character and Delia's relationship with him.
Overall, was a pretty good read! Perfect for the Halloween season. :)
We will make sure to create an spoiler-thread next time, so you can discuss if you really can't wait until the month is finished. Maybe we can also seperate the discussions again, seperated by several chapters, since you all seemed to like that system.
