Chapter 4 (view spoiler)[ Wow!! I can't believe that the spell they cast worked on Seth! I don't think he should have mentioned to Caroline that Anna was the reason he wanted to break up. But that scene in the harbour, it was so cute! I probably would have reacted in the same way to Anna though, especially after how Caroline reacted the first time. (hide spoiler)] I'm really enjoying this so far! It's a really easy read as well so I think we could get through this really quickly!

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ Do you think the chimney collapsing was because of the spell she was casting or just because of the thunder? I want to know who told Emmaline what they did on the Saturday night or how she knew what had gone on! I love Seth, he's so cute! I really hope it's not the spell that's making him love her but maybe her heritage instead. I think it's adorable how he protects her from Caroline's friends and takes her to the hospital and stays with her for hours even though she wasn't concious! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 4 & 5
(view spoiler)[Agreed! I don't think there was any need to tell Caroline about Anna but if she hadn't have been slapped we wouldn't have gotten to see the protective side of Seth. Which is pretty cute.
I think the chimney was definitely because of the spell! Also I'm thinking that maybe Emmaline is a witch, that's why she keeps to herself and could tell what Anna had done. Not quite figured out how she knows it was saturday though... maybe it's some kind of witchy senses?
I hope that it's not a spell, I think it was to start with but did you notice how his speech changes after her 'undo' spell?? He's more jokey, less stalker. (hide spoiler)] I like it. Not sure it's my favourite book ever but I definitely want to keep reading... which is a good sign haha.
Also I had a math's teacher called Mr Henderson :P

Yeah, I definitely agree with what you said about Emmaline. It would make a lot more sense if she was! Yeah I don't think he's under a spell anymore.

(view spoiler)[ wow, we were right about Emmaline! I really love her mom, not too fond of her though! I loved the scene between Anna and Seth at his grandfather's place. It's sweet that they can open up to each other so much even if they don't know each other well and Anna doesn't want to like him. How did Seth's grandfather know about her being a witch? &what did he mean by 'our kinds don't mix'? What is 'their kind'? (hide spoiler)]

I've not read your last comment yet as I'm only half way through chapter 7.
I wanted to know what you think of anna? I want to shake her! why does she keep doing spells when she doesn't know what she's doing and never REALLY checks to see if the one before actually worked. I like the explanation for the chimney though!

I don't like her too much. I mean, I do understand why she doesn't want Seth to love her, but she should pay more attention to what she is doing with the spells, especially after what happened the last time!

Okay read them now :)
No it's a little irritating reading her make mistakes. But I do like the relationship between her and Seth, even if we don't know how much of it is real.
I think his grandfather just meant witches and humans? At least that's all I thought when reading it.
I want to know more about her mum though. I think her dad might know more than he's letting on.

Well I thought that, but witches mix with humans everyday and always have so maybe he meant something else? Yeah that's what I think too.

true, maybe he means in the romantic sense?

Hmm, possibly. Still doesn't explain how he knew she was a witch, when she'd only just found out herself!

Chapter 9 (view spoiler)[ I don't think she should have told him! At least not then, he was exhausted and emotional from the storm and completely the wrong time.
I'm glad she's finally getting the hang of her powers but Anna really needs to stop making decisions! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10 (view spoiler)[ Emmaline is growing on me! what do you think? I like her bluntness and she seems practical.
Also looks like it is just a case of witches and humans when Bran was talking about Kinds.
I have no idea how I'm meant to pronounce 'Ealdwitan'! (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, I don't think she should have told him either! I love Emmaline, I think she could be a great influence on Anna and her decision making!
Chapter 11-14 (view spoiler)[ At least Seth didn't tell anyone about her being a witch and still loves her. I found the scene in Anna's bedroom when Seth was drunk so funny. I can't believe the history teacher is a witch and part of the Ealdwitan! i'm really starting to like Abe. :) Do you think she made the right decision in telling the Ealdwitan, no? I think that if she'd just said yes, the people she loves wouldn't be in danger. I do think that she was really brave when she saved Seth from the car, but again with her stupid decisions, she used magic. At least now in the hospital, they seem to be getting into the official relationship on both sides, not just Seth! (hide spoiler)]

Well lets face it her decision making couldn't be much worse!

I didn't think he would to be honest. Yeah he's very cute when he's drunk. I'm seriously starting to like Seth! Actually I'm liking pretty much everyone but Anna, not sure that's how I'm meant to feel about the character. I like Abe too.
I didn't guess either! I have to agree with Anna though, is there anyone in that town who's not a witch? And completely! I think if she had said yes she wouldn't have just put her friends in danger but herself too.
I think she should have an official decision maker! As it seems she can't be trusted to make a sensible choice on her own. What did you think the whole dead but not dead thing was about? Do you think that might be part of the reason the Ealdwitan wants her so bad?
Poor Seth, he's really not having much luck!

Also when you put 11 - 14 I wasn't sure if you had read 14 so I read it. I'll spoiler is just in case you haven't read it yet. (view spoiler)[ the History teacher gives me the serious creeps! I never bought his nicey nice routine but still there's something about him that I REALLY don't like! Although the scene with Anna and him was a little too much "Come to the dark side" for my liking. Do you think that maybe Emmaline and her family aren't quite as squeaky clean as they're portrayed? (hide spoiler)]

I think that might be a part of her talents but I'm not too sure. Yeah I definitely agree with you about the history teacher, serious creep!! I think there's more to that family than meets the eye!

Anna is definitely my least favourite character though.

I agree but I really hope their not bad. I like that family!

Anna's growing on me a little, but I think it's a serious flaw to the book that you can't get behind the main character.

Yeah, i totally agree! Hopefully by the end of the book, I'll like her a little more!

(view spoiler)[ a couple of things, firstly that last line was so cute! in fact the whole of the last scene. I may be a little in love with Seth.
Secondly did we ever find out what happened to the spell book? And how did you feel about the fact we didn't get anything more about her mum?
lastly... Emmaline and Abe? Do you think they might get together? I think its obvious she likes him, but we never found out how much older he is. (hide spoiler)]
overall I really liked it! I liked the story and the writing style, to be fair the only thing I had a problem with was Anna.

Wow, I really liked this haha! More than I thought I would. I love Seth, too :D I don't think we did find out, maybe in the sequel idk. I'm pretty disappointed about not learning about her mom. I really hope they do get together, I think they'd be so cute!!!

I know me too. I only bought it cos I liked the cover, I wasn't expecting to like it :P Well I guess we can share him haha. Ah okay, as long as I didn't miss it. I think that it could have done with more of the old magic stuff. Even though Anna was bad at it I quite liked it. Me too, they'll probably go over in in the second book.

Oh and my copies of A Witch in Love and A Witch Alone came today :)
