hannah pachet (hannahpachet) I hope so! He'd make such a great big brother. Question is, if she is pregnant, would you prefer it be a boy or a girl?

Reyna~I've gotta be on my own~ | 56 comments I think either would be fine but imagine Percy standing up for his little sister is school and dressing up with her because she's begging him to and Annabeth laughing while watching them have a tea party!!

Reyna~I've gotta be on my own~ | 56 comments Also, would she be like Sally and see through the mist and be able to see what Percy goes through? That'd be interesting...

GUYS I HAVE EVEN BIGGER NEWS
(Sorry for freaking out but)
I FOUND THE FIRST FOUR CHAPTERS ONLINE! They're on Rick Riordan's website (he sure kept that quiet, huh :P)
HERE'S THE LINK:

http://www.rickriordan.co.uk/site/ric...

Spoilers for the extract below, so if you don't want to read the extract and don't want to be spoiled for it, don't read on!

It's confirmed!!! Sally is pregnant, with a GIRL! She's seven months pregnant, so I think just before the Giant war ended. So many possibilities...

Furthermore, Meg is not how I expected, but I like her so far. She claimed Apollo, which should be fun to watch :)

Finally, I've now read the blurb, and feel so dumb for not realising, The Trials of Apollo are a LITERAL set of trials set by Zeus! And the first one is to find 'the final oracle hidden for milennia'... so many possibilities.

Lastly, and this doesn't have to do with an extract, someone who has read it told me that they wouldn't spoil Rachel's role, which implies it's big, so yay :) However, Annabeth's not in the book :( It's been revealed (in the extract) that this goes on at the same time as Magnus Chase, so we may not see Annabeth much in the series :(

There are so many new things to process and discuss.... if you've read the extract, what do you think of all the new things revealed?

Paridhi (apparitionnow) Gods of Olympus! I am so psyched. Holy Calliope(Haha, the muse); what a plot. Gods, I loveeeeeee Meg. It would be so exciting to know who is her godly parent.

SALLY IS PREGNANT!!!!

Well, it couldn't have been any better. Although I'll miss 'our scary blonde', ANNABETH. Hope atleast she'll come back until the end of the book!

It says(SPOILERS) that demigods from CHB are going missing. I am so intrigued. And I hope Leo makes a comeback with Calypso in the book ony. I CAN'T WAIT FOR ANOTHER YEAR!

I hope Apollo's quest takes him to Sans Francisco as well. IT'LL BE AWESOME TO MEET EVERYONE FROM CJ. Although I don't think that will happen. We'll meet everyone slowly, as Rick said at one point or other during the series.

Also, Apollo is a mortal, not even a demigod as he didn't take ambrosia and nectar, so I guess two things can happen:
1) As he is a mortal, and mortals get exhausted easily, the book MAYBE will be spread over a span of years, not months,
2) And of course, now he can be with Reyna!!!

As Meg has claimed him, This is final that she is a leading protagonist. The master remains everywhere!
I am excited by what role that Italian girl, daughter of Tyche holds. ALSO BIG ROLE FOR OUR CURRENT AWESOME BADASS ORACLE RACHEL!!!!!!

And one more thing guys, I don't know when is the book releasing in my country, definitely not day after tomorrow:((.
If any one of you get the the book, please keep us posted!

BECAUSE LITERALLY AND METAPHORICALLY I CAN'T WAIT.

Well, it coul..."

I agree with everything you said!! I really hope we see people from Camp Jupiter, I want to see Frank and Hazel again to be honest. And also... if he doesn't go to Camp Jupiter... what if he doesn't meet Reyna?

I'm so excited about Rachel's role in this book, I feel like we haven't seen her properly in ages. And yeah, I too am disappointed about lack of Annabeth, (and apparently Percy's role isn't too big- Percy made that clear!) but if Jason and Piper are in it then I won't mind that much? Seeing anyone from the Seven would be cool, because the seven (bar Percabeth) have always been *new* demigods but now we've known them for a series they're established, kinda like what PJO characters were, if that makes sense. It's just cool, I think.

The book does come out day after tomorrow where I live but I won't be able to get it for a while, most likely :( Hopefully I can read it soon, but it might be a while.

Finally, where did it say demigods from CHB are missing? That sounds so intriguing, but I must have missed that!! Also on the blurb it mentions 'the beast'... is this the new villain for the series? What/who is it? Share your thoughts, I'm just getting really hyped :)

Paridhi (apparitionnow) Yeah, I read it in the blurb only!(ABOUT DEMIGODS GOING MISSING) And yeah, 'THE BEAST'. I guess most probably its PYTHON. In ancient times, he covered the cave at Delphi and gobbled up oracles and all that. Also, I hope we get to meet old timers. Clarisse, Grover, Stoll Brothers are missed tooo much.

And yeah, I guess we won't see much of Percy. It saddens me a lot but I guess after such an epic roller coaster ride of life and death, I guess he too deserves a happy ending, or rather a happy beginning. But stilllll.....

Mikki Elodie the Ravenclaw Faery (mikaylahannah) | 16 comments I've already read it!! Don't worry, no spoilers from me.

Just re-read the blurb (I didn't read the first paragraph for some reason) and am so excited, and worried. Let's hope we don't get anymore Percy like disappearances, and most of all, Percy better stay safe! The Beast being Python makes sense, but I wonder why they don't just refer to it as 'python' then... hmm....

Mikki Elodie wrote: "I've already read it!! Don't worry, no spoilers from me."

That's seriously awesome, you're so lucky! How did you get it early? And thanks for the no spoilers, I'm going to create a new thread where anyone who has read it can discuss it there, that way this thread can remain spoiler free :)

Mikki Elodie the Ravenclaw Faery (mikaylahannah) | 16 comments I put it on hold at my library a couple of months ago, and was first in the waiting list. I guess my library just managed to get it earlier.

Reyna~I've gotta be on my own~ | 56 comments I JUST READ IT AND OMG IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!
Dally is pregnant with a girl and I'm so happy to see that Percy and Annabeth are trying to have their happily ever after :D I was very suprised by Meg but actually really liked her and thought it was cute that she's a little girl who now controls Apollo! Also, I was extremely satisfied with the humor and actually laughed out loud while I read it to my brother and sister (they were laughing too) and think that it was definitely not overboard and perfectly humorous. I hope the entire book is like this cause so far it's 5/5 stars!!

I agree the book seems so promising. Meg is so interesting, I'm dying to know who her godly parent is... and also, who the 'boss' is? And the spirits following them? So many questions!
And my biggest question is... what will Sally's daughter be called? She'll probably be clear-sighted, right?

message 117: by Fosse76 (new)

Fosse76 | 4 comments I'm a little more than halfway finished. It's not as long as the books in the Heroes of Olympus series, which was overrun with annoying teenage relationship angst and subplots. There is one, but it's brief, and since it's from Apollo's point of view very little time is spent on it.

I'm enjoying it. Riordan isn't too entirely consistent with Apollo's "voice", and some of his narcissism and egotism seems a little forced. But still, the book is mostly what I expected.

message 118: by Lucy (new)

Lucy Wilson | 2 comments Hey, I don't think Apollo turns into mortal and become a demigod. The exact meaning of "demigod" is half-god half-human. He was born by Zeus and the goddess Leto, so he is still completely a god even he turns into mortal.
Moreover, I have a feeling that he knew this punishment would come. I mean he was god of prophecy and truth. How can he not know anything about this?
