Violet looked up and grabbed Lillis had with her small one. "Mama.." She whispered

"Yes, I'm right here sweety," she said softly, "what did you see?"

Violet sniffled. "Dead.. People dead mama..." She whimpered.

She nodded and hugged Violet, "I know baby," at least she hadn't seen anyone she knew, "it was just a bad dream."

She clung to her mother.

Lilli tried not to cry from the pain Jeff caused, she rubbed her daughter's back, "mommy will protect you."

She snuggled into Lillis chest. "Wobe you mama.."

Lilli poked her head into Jeff's room, "Jeff?"

She tip tied into the room and sat next to him, watching him,

Jeff slept and snored. That's where violet got it from.

Lilli lied down and fell asleep next to him.

She sniffled up to him.


Lilli woke up a couple hours latter, screaming. Blood pored from her nose. She'd had a vision. She sat up and started hyperventilating wile crying.

Jeff jumped and he spun around grabbing her arms tenderly. "Love, it's okay.. It was just a dream.." she had told v that.. Maybe it would work?" He pulled her into his lap dabbing the blood that ran down her nose. "Shhh.."

Lilli shook, this one was all to real. Violet and Jeff were in it.. "I-I love you."

Lilli sniffled, the smell of blood filled her nose, "y-you and Vi are going to go to a coerces... She's going to get off a ride and you'll go after her," tears fell down her cheeks," then you'll both.." She sobbed and hid her face in his chest.

Jeff cradled her in his arms. "Violet is fine. I am fien we are fine. I'm sorry I lied to you... I'm sorry. I'm so so so sorry.."

Violet screamed. She came running it to the room. "Dada dead!@ she whispered. Tears running down her cheeks an her nose bled.

Lilli nodded, "it's okay Jeff." She jumped when Violet ran in. Lilli had calmed down a bit, so she pulled Violet into her lap so the three of them could be close to one another. She said nothing, just held her baby girl.

soon the phone rang... Echoing through the house.
Violet sobbed. Her other dada was dead! She saw it. The car. His body. She sobbed more.
Jeff answered. "Hello.."

Lilli rubbed the girl's back, "it's okay."

A voice on the other end cleared it's throat, "yes, is this the home of a doctor Steven?"

"Yes.. Yes.. Is something wrong?" He whispered.

Violet clung to her mommy.

"There was an ascendent," the voice stated, "an inspired driver hit him head on. Near her of them survived."

"Shh, Violet it's okay," Lilli said softly then looked at Jeff worriedly.

Jeff felt a pang... Even though.. They had their differences he cared for the guy. He nodded. "Bye." He said and hung up. Tears filled his eyes. "It's Steven.@

Lilli stiffened and watched him. She wanted to hear him say it, but she also didn't, "I-is he..."

He wiped at his eyes. Tears kept coming. "He's gone.." He whispered and collapsed in the bed hugging his family and crying.

Lilli didn't cry. She was in shock, then denial. Steven couldn't be dead.. They were having a baby.. She looked at her crying daughter, then Jeff.

After a while Jeff and violet had fallen asleep tears staining their cheeks.

Lilli sighed and got out if bed. She showered, got dressed, then went for a walk to Steven's work. She saw Steven's car in a ditch with another and she shook her head. She ran over to it and gasped at what was in the back seat. He had gone and bought Violet some toys as well as Lilli and Jeff each something. There was things for the new baby too. Lilli started crying then, "Steven.. You idiot.." If he hadn't have stayed out latter, he'd be at home, fighting with Jeff like always.

Silence filled the air around her.

Jeff got up and sighed. If lilli wasn't back in an hour.. He'd go look for her. But now... He had to be a good dad.. A.. Good husband even. He hear violet crying and he picked her up rocking her. "Want some smirky pancakes?"

Violet nodded and sniffled, unable to talk because it'd make her cry harder.

An officer came up to Lilli, "how are you?"
"I was his girlfriend," she sobbed and gestured to Steven's smashed up car.
He nodded, "if you give us your name and address, we can send you everything and replace everything that's damaged."
She gave the information, "can you send him back?"
The officer shook his head, "I'm sorry.."
Lilli sniffled and nodded. She went home.

Jeff rocked violet while he made the crazy shaped pancakes. He missed the guy already

Lilli came home sniffling. She went to the living room and curled up on the chair. She was going to lose everyone..

Jeff saw her and sighed. Oh god he hated seeing her all broken. He finished and walked to the living room with v still in his arms. "I'm made the special pancakes."

Lilli nodded but didn't move. Who was going to tell her everything she was going threw was normal? She was his specialty. She looked up at Jeff with glossy eyes, "th-the baby..." It's father was dead.

Lilli sobbed into his hard chest. Steven and Jeff were like two sides of the same man. Jeff was hard and tough, Steven was soft and gentle, "I love you," she whispered.
