from early 2000s about a girl with changing powers, some of which include ice, and her significant other being a man who turns into a panther, name beginning with an R. At one point in the book, he suffers memory loss thanks to his ex wife. Please help!

Isn't it strange for YA to have a protagonist who has a boyfriend who already has an ex-wife? Or maybe this is normal now.
