In Mockingjay, when Katniss asks what day, she learns it's a week until "September. That means Snow has had Peeta in his clutches for five, maybe six weeks." Due to this, we can also conclude that, since the Peeta was captured at the end of the 75th Hunger Games, that the Games start in middle to late July.
