§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter shifted a little, picking at the label sticker on the bottle, "I take it you're feeling better?" He asked, glancing over at Dan then continued picking at the label.
From the right angel his halo could almost be seen. A faintly golden hoop around his head, almost like a crown, though not quite touching him. Other than that, he had no tattoos. This being quite obvious, sense he plainly lacked a shirt, unless he hid something in his pants. Other than tattoos, his ears were piercing with a couple of dangling jewels that matched his equally crystal like eyes. A silver band then wrapped one about his thumb and another on one of his toes. Their meaning not likely not of magic but personal preference.

Cry only covered her spidery hand over his and stepped close, flicking the light and craned her neck, letting her smoke light then stepped back uncovering his hand. "I don't know. Ye' know, I came with good intentions. I was going to kill ye' then get the others breakfast..." She shook her head slightly and took a long pull. She then huffed a cloud of smoke into the air and waved it away faintly, "I don't know now. It's a lot earlier then I'd like to be present for." She looked to him and raised an eyebrow, "Ye' don't look so good. Something wrong?"

"A bit sore from a night on the couch, and I could always use more caffeine, but yeah better," Dan answered with a shrug. He kept watching him the entire time he spoke, but quickly averted his gaze every time he glanced back at him. He reached over and tapped his earring, watching it move. Then he worried he overstepped boundaries. He immediately returned his hand to his lap and hoped for the blush to subside. "Sorry, I, uh, like your," he motioned to his own ear, where he happened to have a few piercings as well. Unlike the angel, he had more than a few tattoos, but they were all more or less covered by his shirt.

Seph slipped the lighter back into his pocket when she was done. "Yeah, those sound like good intentions. You know, just murder then breakfast," he joked. He raised his eyebrows at her when she continued to speak. "Oh, I'm fabulous. You know, just preparing for my death." He hardly ever said anything that wasn't sarcastic.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter reached up and touched his earring, rubbing the smooth crystal between his fingers, "Yes. Billie gave me these. A gracious gift. Thank you for noticing." He looked over at Dan and at his piercings. "You aren't very strong." He said plainly. "You look it. But don't really fit it. I worry for your friend. The girl. She seems to be the more reckless sort. Is she not visually impaired?"
Is was hard to think Cry was impaired in anyway. She worked out more than Dan ever would and her butchered lack of sight never seemed to faze her.
Though it was Jupiter's job to note these sort of thing on her and Dan too. Their weaknesses and flaws, in order to keep them safe if one was inflicted on them and they became helpless.

Cry nodded understandably, his words washing right over her. It didn't matter what anyone said, it was almost promised that whatever you said Cry would have the same reply, even if it happened to be totally irrelevant on either end.
"Take all the time ye' need. But not too much time. We only get our next mission till the one current has been handled." She gave a nod and a small sigh, looking off again, "I don't assume this is ye'r apartment. Is there coffee inside?"

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan sighed, opening his mouth to say something clever, but he had nothing to say. After he moment he settled on saying something sarcastic, "thanks. I'm working on it." He had always wished he was tougher and more bold, be he sought validation from others and cared too much about things, and he wasn't to good at hiding his feelings. He wasn't sure how he'd made it so far as a hunter, probably because of Cry and that made him feel worthless. Everything did. "Reckless is an understatement, but there's not a word to describe her. She is, but she doesn't let anything stop her." He rubbed his arm, feeling self conscious now that he pouted that at. But he'd did try, and he really pushed himself to at least act tough.

"Yeah, the thing is I've been preparing for it but I don't really want to die. Not right now and without choosing exactly how to go out anyway," Seph clarified. At least she was listening. "It's not mine, but whoever lives here is on vacation and won't mind. Yeah, but I'm not making it for you." He opened the door and let her inside, before following her in.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter kept picking at the label till one of the corners was pealed off a bit and he took it as a grip. In the next moment he tore if off. Part of the label stuck on. He grumbled softly, "Yes. Hopefully she'll survive long." He stuck the part of the label that was between his finger to his thigh and left it there while he picked at the rest of the label on the bottle. "You both are very important you know."
He glared at the label. He night before he'd been listening to Cry and Cupid, talking about how if you were able to peal the label off your beer completely that meant you weren't a virgin.
Jupiter didn't entirely understand, but he was still curious about this test. Though it in no way made an impact on him but in frustration of now having a messy looking beer bottle.

Cry walked over to the coffee machine, soon going through some cabinets to find a bag of coffee and some filters. She was soon dumping coffee into the new filter as she spoke. "That's the way everyone feels. But think about it. What do ye' have to live for? Nothing. That's what. But me? Well, I have my whole life ahead of me." She turned on the coffee pot and turned, leaning her lower back against the counter. "If it make ye' feel better, I won't tell ye' when I'm gonna kill ye'." She flashed him a charming smile.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan watched the angel mess with the label on the bottle, wondering why he was peeling it off. "That's not at all a bad way of saying you hope she has a nice long life," he remarked sarcastically, glancing up at his face, regaining some confidence. He sat with horrendous posture, leaning on his arms that rested on his legs. "Why are you doing that?" He asked, tapping the bottle with his nail to make a pleasant sound. He thought over the comment about them being important for a moment. "Could you elaborate on that? Important to what? Because I-" he stopped, because what he was going I add would make him emotional and that was a weakness. Instead he swallowed hard and waited or answers, whilst looking at his hands.

"Wow, that really makes me feel better," Seph gave her false praise, his voice so full of sarcasm that even the dumbest person could pick up on it. "Actually I'd prefer to know exactly when I'm going I die." He leaned against the counter next to her, but not close, and crossed his arms over his stomach. "And do you do last requests or are you one of the humans that had less class and humanity than a demon?" He smiled at her, but it was a less than kind one.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Just important. You'll understand when the time comes." Jupiter replied, picking at the label more before he set it came down on the coffee table. "Because you-?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at Dan curiously. His posture was fairly perfect though interrupted by the not so postured couch back cushion.

Cry looked from the coffee pot to him, "Last requests? I suppose we could do that. Just- Just hold on." She stood back up right and watched the coffee intently for a moment then began to scavenge for a mug, "So what is it ye' wanted?"

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "You really suck," Dan groaned from the lack of answers. He thought over the best way to answer the question. He avoided looking at him and pressed his wrists to the top of his legs so the bottoms of his arms weren't easily visible. "I just feel pretty useless most of the time," he said in a flat voice, not wanting to explain his history of self hate and doubt to the angel.

Seph almost smiled genuinely. He passed her a mug from the cabinet he knew the actual owners kept them in. "I don't really know, I didn't think I'd get this far. Would it be cheesy and ridiculous if I asked for a chance or an adventure. Something to make hell and whatever comes after death for a demon worthwhile," he was so sure it wouldn't work, but was worth a shot. "Believe it or not, I was human once." He refrained from mentioning how he'd like a reminder of that if he was going to die.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Why would you take the job of a hunter then? It doesn't really seem like your sort of thing." Jupiter said and stood again, "Can we go for a walk or something? It's muggy in here." He didn't seem together with all the moving around he did.
Though in all honesty, Cupid's apartment wasn't the most welcoming of homes. Though Cry and Dan were fairly used to it now. Others may find that the air was thick with mildew and cigarette ash.

Cry scoffed, "Yeah. Me too. I didn't last long like that though." she muttered to herself.
Taking the mug, making sure to brush her fingertips along the back of his hand. "A chance." She mimicked. "An adventure."
She laughed faintly, pouring herself some coffee, "Yes I suppose. Nothing more than a week though. And ye' have to decide what you want to do today." She took the cigarette from her lips and took a sip of coffee.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "I thought it might help because I'm helping people. I get a sense of accomplishment part of the time, anyway. Not much helps all the time though," Dan explained. When Jupiter got up, he did as well, but slowly. He yawned and stretched with his arms over his head, then he quickly pushed his hands into the front pockets of his jeans, hiding the scars on his forearms. "Yeah, if you'd like to," he replied. He kept his arms pressed against his sides whilst walking to the door, he stopped with his hand on the door knob, only opening the door after he was sure the angel was following.

Seph ignored what she did to get to him. He was surprised she'd given him so long. He already knew what he wanted to do, but it would be difficult to get done in a week. "Have you heard of a ritual that can turn a demon back into a human?" He asked her while drumming his finger tips against the counter. "I want to see if it works." He watched her closely; he had absolutely no clue how she'd react, but he was prepared to be turned down.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter got up and strolled behind Dan ad out the door. He then stood and waited as he then closed the door and they began their walk, "You are one sad puppy." he chuckled softly. He walked with him, looking around curiously and occasionally moving one way to reach over and touched something, and eventually Dan's arm.
"I read your life story. Literally. They come in books and write themselves as a person's existence goes on." Jupiter looked up from his arm, making sure to meet his eyes, "But I'd like to hear it from you."

Cry looked over at him with a faintly disappointed and frustrated look, "Yes. I've heard of it. Though I don't think I've ever gone through the process. Look here." She took a sip of coffee and a drag on her cigarette, leaning back on the counter, "I'm only doing this because," she shrugged her shoulders, "Well ye're absolutely the most pathetic demon I've ever met." She sighed and looked off, her eyes fixed on the floor, "I suppose I could help you with this. If ye' actually pull through. I should probably give Dan a break anyway. God, he's such a pansy." She dragged her fingers through her hair, muttering that last little part to herself.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "Eh, Cry says I'm more of an emo 12 year old," Dan joked, with a tiny smile that didn't reach his eyes. He flinched when the angel touched his arm, but he already saw and apparently already knew everything he didn't want anyone to know, so what was the point of fighting. He immediately looked away when they made eye contact and stared down at his feet instead. "Why? It's stupid in the first place. You've already suffered through it once, why do it again? Only this time it'll be more unreliable and you'd have to wait until I can talk without getting too emotional," he grumbled, his self loathing evident.

Seph chuckled when she called him pathetic. "You've never encountered a depressed demon before?" he asked, smirking. "It really sucks, still having something of your conscience intact. You get to do fun things like go to hell, for whatever you've done, then spend eternity feeling guilty until you're finally supposed to not have any shred of humanity left, but you still do. Except now you're a demon and do evil things, even though you feel something resembling sorrow and guilt. It took me a few centuries, but I've finally become self aware," he didn't show any emotion when he spoke, until the last sentence, and that came out as a joke.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter chuckled, dropped his hand off his arm, "It's my job. Not only am I supposed to help you physically, you know, keeping you safe an whatnot. But I'm also supposed to help you mentally. Your friend doesn't sound like she's very good with moral support." He put his hands in the back pockets of his jeans and continued walking with him through the apartments. Anyone who passes stared. Though you couldn't blame them. A shirtless angel is not something a person could miss.

Cry moved the mug from her lips, the cigarette dangling from her lips. She shot him with a harsh glare of great disappointment, "I didn't ask for ye'r f***ing bio. If ye're going to waste my time I'd like to just go ahead and kill ye' right. How do ye' do this whole transfer to mortality thing." She waved her mug in a small circle then took a sip.
Cry was incredibly short with people; demons alike. She'd never talked to Dan much about his emotions. She usually just told him to shut up if he ever went on about his feeling, then went on to giving them another activity to work on. She often came across as incredibly cruel.
When having found him in the bathroom once dragging a razor across his wrist, she slugged him in the gut and took every blade and lighter in the house and chucked it out the window. They were lucky she was paying enough attention to stop herself before throwing their special demon hunting blade out the window. But everything left, and she hadn't trusted him with himself sense.
(Tell me if I need to change anything)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan thought about Cry and his statement on her. He could remember a few times he could've used support rather than getting punched. "Yeah, she really isn't. To be fair, I'm not good at getting help and... eh," he trailed off a bit, giving up on his sentence, among other things. "Did you forget to put a shirt on or do you make a point of distracting everyone?" He was curious and wanting to give up his flannel shirt so he wouldn't get distracted, others not he pshhh, while also trying to think through what he might want to tell Jupiter.

Seph shook his head slightly at her response. "Do you not have feelings at all or are you coping by denial and avoidance?" he asked her to bother her a little. If all he had to do was mention feelings, it should be easy. "Something like human blood, no eating, a sigil, some weird stuff you have to burn, you know, normal ritual stuff. My friend has the exact directions in a book somewhere."

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter shrugged his shoulders, "I woke up without my shirt. I thought you didn't mind sense I heard no protest. I'm sorry if I'm making you feel uncomfortable. Would you like me to go back to the apartment?" His oblivion was sweet and fairly harmless. He hadn't noticed the people staring at him, nor did he see the reason why he may be a bit distracting. He'd been mainly focused on Dan and what he'd been saying while they walked.

"Coping?" Cry scoffed then look a long pull from her cigarette, "Do you know where ye'r friend is?" She shook her head slightly, "This project seems to take a lot of devotion." She gave a sigh and flicked the ash on the tile floor and blew some smoke, "Excuse me if I'm not very sympathetic. It's not the average nature of a hunter."

message 168: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "Oh, uh, it's not making me uncomfortable. It's just distracting." Dan then frowned, realizing what that sounded like, and quickly added, "Not for me. I mean, people are staring." He winced at his own awkwardness. He pulled his plaid shirt off, still wearing a Led Zeppelin shirt beneath it, and just sort of shoved it at the angel. "You can put this on?" He blushed fiercely and turned his face away from Jupiter to hide it.

"Across town. We can shadow travel to get there if you want," Seph answered, still drumming his fingers on the counter. "I don't need sympathy. You're fine." He generally just used emotions to get things he wanted from people, he was slightly sociopathic in that way. It was working on her, so he wasn't going to try.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter took the plaid shirt and pulled it on, one arm at a time. He then shuffled his feet, looking down as he buttoned himself up. Though it took his a couple of times to get them all even, "Hmmm..." He grumbled, getting it done, though it didn't look totally right on him, but it was good enough.

"Yeah, Alright. One moment," Cry pushed herself off the counter, standing up right and finished off her coffee. She then put her mug in the sing and dabbed out the bud off her cigarette and dropped it down the garbage disposal. "Is ye'r friend a uh..." She waved her hand a little, "A uh, demon?" She looked at Seph with a somewhat strained look.

message 170: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan smiled slightly as the angel grumbled, not admitting to himself that he found it sort of cute. Nope. He didn't even want to help him button his shirt, or eh, the opposite, not at all. His real talent was denying things. "I like wearing it better with the sleeves rolled up above my elbows," he offered, still smiling at him. Most of his tattoos could now be seen, along with more scars, though mostly from hunts gone wrong. Less people were staring at Jupiter, though he was getting some looks focused on his tattoos.

"Oh, yeah he's a demon. Which reminds me, he's not just going to give us the ritual and he's going to hate you," Seph explained, as if he simply forgot this information until this point. He'd known it would be difficult, but he needed her to agree to it first. He smirked at her look. "But I'm sure if we kill him it'll all be fine. Who needs friends?"

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Jupiter looked to Dan as he spoke then promptly rolled up his sleeves a little above his elbows, "It's a bit different." He said, "Compared to wearing a tunic and what have you." He rolled his shoulders, "It's all something to get used to. But it's not all bad." He looked around a little then smiled as people walked past and watched the two.

Cry still had a strained look, putting her fist to her mouth. When he was done speaking she coughed, releasing a lung full of smoke. She then coughed a little and waved the smoke away from her face, "Yeah. Yeah. I figured. Maybe I should just wait somewhere and ye' can go get the book yourself."
