Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan was getting pretty weird looks, and so people were avoiding him more and more. Which was okay, he could see everything more clearly when his view wasn't clogged up by people who weren't possessed. He tended to smile at the people who looked at him weird like Haha, sorry I'm trying to remember something. I'm not crazy... Probably.

Sephtis frowned with sad eyes, and he made himself seem like a really awkward young man. "No, what? Um, I wasn't watching you, I just..." He made an apologetic face like Please get it, I don't know what I'm doing. He wasn't really sure what his plan was but maybe he could take one of them down, or better yet, get out without suspicion just by tricking the girl.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry took this cigarette from her lips and flicked the ash right on his shoe, noting taking her eyes off him for a second. There was something wrong here, no man as shy as he was playing would go to a strip club and walked up to girls like her.
Oh no. Does he think I'm a stripper? What...? No. No. He's just very confused.
After taking a short pull on her smoke, she gestured her cigarette to one of the strippers dancing on a pole, "Ye' seem lost. Maybe ye're looking for something over there."
This was ridiculous.
No one approached her.
No one noticed her.
No one watched her without her knowing.
No one took the time to ask who she was.
And no one asked for her name.
Ever.
"Christo." she muttered as she blew a lung full of smoke into the dim air.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments ((Sorry I fell asleep))

The smile on his face immediately grew slightly malicious and very arrogant smirk at the word, and his eyes turned black just long enough for her to notice. "You got me," Sephtis sounded amused when he spoke, as if he was sure he'd get out of this one. "And now, let me out of here." He held his fist around waist level, and pulled back slightly. "But here, let me give you an incentive." He tightened his fist and turning it to the side slightly so she could figure out what he was doing.

Dan began to realize that there was an issue with the man talking to. He straightened up, getting off the wall and beginning to walk over to help. The man raised his fist, and he became worried, but she could handle a punch. Nonetheless he made his way to her. Then when he wasn't even halfway to her, he stopped. Pain shot through his entire body, sore pain through all of his muscles, his organs felt as if they were being gripped in a vice and the stabbed, and his lungs were hot and scratchy. He sunk to his knees, not being able to handle every part of his body being in pain. He coughed into his fist, not purposefully but because there was a horrible tickle in his throat. He brought his fist away slick with blood. He guessed it wasn't Cry he should've been worried about. Oh God, I'm dying. He spat blood onto the floor as he coughed and choked on nothing.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry narrowed her eyes slightly with a smooth smirk, "Oh, I see." she said smoothly and pulled the fire alarm.
The alarm struck through their ears. Some girls panicked and ran out and soon everyone else once they started seeing other people panic.
She took another pull on her cigarette, catching his fist as he swung at her. She ground the burning bud of her cigarette into his arm, holding his wrist down, "Let ye' go? Who do ye' think I am?" she smiled faintly.

A man slipped through the crowd of people rushing to the door. No one touched or even brushed him as they just migrated around him. He slowly knelt down beside Dan with an emotionless expression. "You look in pain. What's wrong?" he asked carefully with a voice of gold. Long sun-kissed hair fell down his back, and his eyes gleaned a crystal blue.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments (I see lol. Hey tell me if you want me to change it and make them less interactive. in that first part.)

message 59: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "If you were to look at your friend back there, you'd probably understand the situation a bit better," Sephtis replied, not phased at all, he nodded towards Dan coughing up blood and groaning on the ground. "He's not going to make it, if you don't let me leave. Then of course, you won't make it, and things will get a bit messy. I can keep demonstrating if you'd like." He wrenched his fist away, and made a swiping motion with his hand, and a cut appeared down Dan's arm, by the looks of it, very deep.

Dan had practically coughed his lungs out, and was becoming worried that that could be possible. He groaned, and looked up at the man with a pained expression. "Do I really?" he asked sarcastically, spitting more blood, this time at the man's feet. The cut then opened on his arm and he bit back a wail, he wasn't particularly enjoying himself.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments The man's eyes widened slightly at the sight of the cut forming on his arm, "Lets get you out of here." He scooped Dan up carefully, bridal style and walked to the door. "It's all yours Cry!" he called then walked out, the father away they got, the less effect the demon would have on him.

She clenched her teeth, dropping the cigarette and took a better stance, pulling out her knife. "I'm not worried about him."
Demons kept out of the shadows to get a better look at what they were dealing with.
Cry clutched her knife tight, giving it a little twirl, "I'm not leaving!" she shouted, "And neither are any of ye'. So come on!"
One jumped out, tackling her to the ground, but with a jerk, she straddled the demon, pinning him down and gashed out his eyes easily.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "Good lord," Dan muttered, feeling absolutely useless and terrible. One, he hadn't done anything helpful in the slightest, two, he had gotten himself injured without doing anything helpful, and three he was being carried outside. In short, he was humiliated. He struggled a bit against the man's grip, but ended up giving up because everything hurt.

Sephtis sighed, stepping back from the girl. He liked this vessel and didn't want to have to find a new one, so he would wait for the fighting to finish, while seeing what he could do to get out. In the meantime, he was stealing a bottle of whiskey, because he could.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Stop squirming." he said blandly. They didn't seem to be noticed, not even when they made it across the road, missing cars at the last possible moment. "You've been working yourself hard. Rest is good." he said dryly, making their way to Dan and Cry's old beat down apartment.

Cry huffed, taking out a few demons then turned seeing one getting a drink. She stud up and waved her finger at him, "Uh, no! What do ye' think ye're doing? Get over here!" she snapped viciously.
This was totally unacceptable. He couldn't waste her time like this. Not without making her a drink. What a slob. Makes little threat, then acts as though he runs the place... The empty, unattended place.

message 63: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "You're going to get us killed. Death by car is even worse than death by demon," Dan complained as they were crossing the street. "Who the hell are you?" he then asked, coming to his senses, after he came to terms with the fact that his pride was very damaged. "How do you know where I live? Why are you carrying me? What are we accomplishing?" Speaking hurt, so he did so rather softly, but he was too stubborn to let a simple thing like stabbing pain stop him from asking questions.

"I'm pouring myself a drink, or five... Care to join me?" He asked casually, offering her a shot glass. Demons were arrogant and terrible by nature, but he wasn't just an ordinary demon. He was a knight of hell. A couple of steps up, and a mere step down from the king of hell himself. That all meant he was a bit more powerful and a lot more full of himself. Meanwhile he had downed somewhere around 4 shots.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments He glanced down at Dan, giving his head a small shake, and turned opening the door to the foyer of the apartments with his back. "I am your guardian now." he said flatly. "My name is Jupiter. But you may call me Jesse." He stepped onto the elevator and pressed the right floor with his thumb. "You nor Cry may recognize me. It has been a very long while sense I've seen the either of you."

Cry stud up right, fixing her dim eyes in his general direction. "I'd love to." she said, pushing the blood covered knife to her belt and took the shot, downing it without hesitation. "Just tell me when you're ready." She said patients and leaned against the bar on her hip, gaining a hard slouch.

message 65: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan frowned, beginning to feel better. God, he hated demons. "Guardian? And how'd you get Jesse from Jupiter?" he asked. "How long? Longer than your hair? And can you put me down? I'd like to walk."

Seph sat on a barstool. He refilled her shot glass, after downing another himself. He looked around at the corpses lying around on the ground. He was the only demon left, naturally. "Nice job with the others," he commented without sincerity. "I'll be ready soon enough..."

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments He gave Dan a distasteful look, "It's only what they call me. But you may call me whatever you like." Walking to their apartment door, he reached into Dan's pocket and unlocked the bolt. Carefully, he walked in, closing the door with him foot and sat Dan on his feet.
(view spoiler)

Cry leaned over the counter and refill the flask in her pocket. Then after taking a swig, she gave a small smile stuffing it in her pocket, "Ah, well. I'm only doing my job. Take ye'r time." She smiled faintly, taking the knife from her belt and a wet rag off the counter, and cleaned off the blood skillfully.

message 67: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "So, if I called you an idiot..." Dan began, attempting to mask the fact that he was making him uncomfortable. Especially going through his pockets. He was nearly stable when he was standing, he stumbled towards a chair, and plopped down, proceeding to examine the gash on his arm. (Sure)

Seph began to drink straight from the bottle. "What's your name?" he asked her, to pass the time. He figured she'd at least give him until he finished the bottle of liquor. "And your accent. Where're you from?" He was taking his time to come up with a way out.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments With a small frowned, and blinked, following Dan's eyes and looked at the gash in his arm, "Want me to get that?" He offered. Taking his arm, with no hesitation to be accounted for, he looked at his cut intensely, his face scrubbing up, thinking of ways to solve the problem. "Is this it?" He asked, expecting more wounds.

She grumbled faintly, "Doesn't matter- are you ready yet?" Cry pressed, crossing her arms impatiently. Typically she was in little rush, though it'd been a few hours sense her last drink, and mending to Dan did come across as at least somewhat important.

message 69: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan took in a sharp breath when he moved his arm even slightly. "It felt like my internal organ were put in a blender and I still tastes blood, but other than that... yeah," he answered through clenched teeth. He wanted to stitch it up himself.

"Let me finish my drink. Don't rush my departure," Seph replied, looking her over. He was pretty much finished with the bottle. His plan was basically to walk out, hoping that the sat line was disrupted enough, and he could muster some wind to fix that if it was a problem.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Then I shall tend to it." He said defiantly, letting go of Dan's arm and looked around, slapping his pockets as a grown defined his lips, "I didn't come prepared for this."v He paused for a moment, starting at the floor with what looked to be great thought. "Hm." He grumbled then suddenly took off his shirt and does out his silver white wing out, maybe only a got out so, and plucked one of the feathers with a little flinch.

The four alarm was accompanied shortly by the sound of police sirens and the chatting people outside. "I haven't got all day!" She rushed, having his ear and pulled him away from the bar. In her other hand, she twirled her knife toll she got a good grip on it, needing to make this quick.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments ((Sorry! I was out of town for the weekend))

"I can do it myself," Dan insisted stubbornly, though weakly. He held his arm gingerly over his lap so the rivulets of blood running down from the cut wouldn't make a mess on anything but his pants. He then found himself staring at the angel, until he forced himself to look back down at the cut. "What are you doing?" He asked in a low and confused voice.

Sephtis groaned in annoyance. He jerked away from her, and motioning towards the door to make it stick in place to keep the police and firefighters from being able to get in. "Sweetheart, it's too late for you to get away from the cops now, even if you killed me quickly. Now, if you broke the salt line I could get us out of here easily," he offered her.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments He crouched in front of Dan with the silver feather posted between his fingertips. "I wouldn't think you'd want that infected, would you."
With another flick of his wrist, he opened his palm for the deteriorating ash of his feather to catch in his palm with a face twisted with concentration. He then clutched his fists tight over the small pile of ash.

Cry grumbled, looking from him to the doors. With a small nod, she followed him to the salt line he required obstructing, and brushed the salt away quickly. She brushed her hands off and watched him intently, expecting him to keep his words and help her get out as well. Even though, she was prepared if he decided to hitch her behind.

(It's all good. I didn't really want to bother you. ^~^ )

message 73: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "No, but I've dealt with stuff like this before and I'm fine..." Dan told him. He'd been shot, stabbed, and endured various other injuries more than the average human being. "What are you doing?" He watched him with interest. He decided that his guardian angel needed a haircut as well as a better nickname, but that could wait.

Seph smiled as she did so, most people would try to kill him. Well, most hunters. He strode over to her, and grabbed her wrist, he would of taken her hand but her was worried some salt remained on her hands, and that it would be enough to burn. "You're probably not going to like this," he informed her as the room sort of ceased to exist in front of them. It felt like they were being compressed from every direction but expanding as well, and that was only the physical discomfort. The thing about the demon method of traveling is it goes through hell a little bit, humans don't handle hell to well. After what seemed to be a few minutes for him, though he wasn't sure how long it would feel to her, and it was actually only 30 seconds, they were out on the street a few blocks down.
"And now you can say you've been to hell... Well, shadow travel like that is really like if you were to skate across a frozen pond rather than jump into the water, but it sounds cooler if you just stick with 'I've been to hell.'" He dropped her wrist and stepped back a bit, well aware that she still had a knife.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Quite fine." The guardian replied and opened his fist to show a silver liquid in his palm, shimmering their surroundings back at them. He took Dan's arm, moving his wounded arm along his thigh. Holding his hand out, he dripped the liquid carefully along his gash wound, making sure to be very precise. "Quite fine, indeed." he said again, watching as Dan's wound tingled then began to come together and heal before their eyes.

Cry stud, someone rattled and a very unappeased look across he chiseled face. "That's not how I remember it." She said tensely, then looked over at the demon with a slight nod. "Thank ye'-" she looked down, holding up her wrist then looked back at him. "Sephtis." she finished, letting her hand then. "I suppose I owe ye' a few days warning before I come after ye' again, in return for ye'r dead." She used an awful flat tone, none of it being appreciable, but it could be if he was listening in the right state of mind.

message 75: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan watched his cut heal with a frown, simply because he was in pain, it was weird, and he didn't understand it. "How does that work?" he asked him, as the cut healed. His frown began to fade as the pain did, and left him just with curiosity.

Seph smiled easily at her, though his eyes flickered back to being black for a fraction of a second when she said his name. "It means eternal death, mine name that is. But what do can I call you?" he asked, obviously a bit happy with his name. Some demons had lame mortal names because they had just been terrible humans. "Or you could just find me and have a drink, it's much more fun for the both of us that way," he offered with a wink.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments He took a step back once the liquid was clear from his palm and Dan's cut was healed. "Lets call it magic." He said flatly, folding his wing back in and slipped back on his shirt. He reached into his shirt, pulling out his blonde hair and let it fall back to his waist. He took a step back as it fell, then rolled his white sleeves, back up to his elbows.

Cry looked over him carefully for a long moment, not seemed to take his hint with much emotion, as though she didn't see it at all or didn't understand it. "It doesn't matter." She retorted once again to his question. "I'll give ye' tomorrow. But the next night, I and my partner will come again to finish our mission." She shifted uneasily under his eyes, not reaching for her knife or anything else just yet.

message 77: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan sighed, obviously unhappy with his explanation. He watched him intently, feeling more comfortable as soon as he had gotten his shirt on, this way Cry couldn't walk in and make assumptions."You need a haircut. Also, I think I'm going to call you Jove, maybe Joe for short sometimes..." He told him simply.

"Thanks for the generosity and consideration," he said sarcastically. He then sighed, not planning on leaving, just finding a new place to go here. "I'll be around. Goodbye." He gave a little wave and began to walk off.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments The angel gave the fainted crook of a frown then approved with a small nod.
Cry walked the other way naturally till she realized she was going in the wrong direction. Spinning on her heels, she started going the right way and to their cruddy little apartments on the 23rd flight.
Jiggling the door knob, she soon resorted to throwing her elbow against the old wooden door and stumbled in. She looked up from the floor, closing the door with her foot and fixed her eyes on the dazzling man to familiar Dan, "When did we get a Host?" She smirked, thinking he was a lost jigglo or something.

message 79: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan jumped up out of the chair as soon as the door knob turned, nearly running into Jove. He looked at Cry in an awkward panic, even though nothing was happening at all. "Er, this is Jupiter... He's an angel." He then added quickly, "Literally. He's my guardian angel. He healed me from that demon..." He held his arm up to her, a scar ran down it.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry grinned, "And ye' hoped to keep him all to ye'rself didn't ye'?" She tsked at him while taking the knife out of her pants and set it on the coffee table. "Oh ye' cheeky fox." She walked over to Jove and took a strand if his hair, twirling it around her two fingers. "I like his hair." She snickered.
Jove looked down at Cry with faint unease, "Thank you." He looked back at Dan quickly with an unsettled look, "This is your mate?" He asked stilly, seeming unsure with Cry fiddling with his hair.

message 81: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "I'm- I'm not," Dan began, but ended up just sighing. He ran his hand through his own hair, trying to calm down, god was he flustered. "Well, yeah he needs a haircut." He then listened to his question, and became a bit flustered again. "Mate like? No... Nope. We just hunt together. And live together..."

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Mate." Cry laughed, "No. Danny doesn't put out too easy." She cackled, finding her remark hilarious after a moment if thought. Contently, she continued to twine his hair between her fingers.
He blinked, with a look of total dumbstruck, like trying to teach a cow poetry. "Your companion?" He looked back down at Cry and grumbled faintly, "You look very different than I remember you."

message 83: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "I'm just not on your level, Cry," Dan replied teasingly. "Yeah, companion, i guess. How long ago since you last saw us?" He plopped down onto the couch lazily. "Do you want to give him a haircut? Or should we get someone who knows what they're doing to cut it?"

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry walked off, taking a stool from the kitchen and set it down in the living room. She patted the seat lightly for Jupiter to walk over and sit down.
He did.
"It has been year. Many years, when you were only infants." He replied flatly.
Cry walked back over with a comb and some fin scissors.
Jupiter watched her hesitantly then gave his head a small shake, "Its been so long. It took me a while to understand if I had the right mortals."
Cry began to comb his hair, but was disappointed to find it was perfectly smooth and untangled, taking away her opportunity to comb it.

message 85: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan watched them for a moment, without speaking. "It was a big hint that I was being injured by a demon without being touched, yeah? Wait, did you know we were going to grow up to be hunters? How does the whole guardian angel thing work? Like were you assigned to us or..." He began to rattle of questions, his curiosity getting the best of him. He got up and went to the fridge to get himself a beer. "Would either of you like something to drink?" he asked, standing in front of the open fridge, waiting for an answer.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry only gave him a small trim, staying a little above his belt. She became totally dumbstruck when she messed up, having a blank look of confusion. Casually, she dismissed Dan's offer and continued cutting the guardian's hair, making it with a more choppy look, though it was still quite long.
He gave his head a small shake, "I was assigned to you when you were quite young. In your instances, yes, I knew you would become hunter, tis you were born to be hunters. I didn't not foresee you both growing so fast like this though." He kept a very level tone, showing little emotion besides when Cry tugged on his hair a little too hard.

message 87: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan shut the fridge and walked back to the cough with a bottle of beer. He plopped down while opening the bottle. "I knew I was born ready for going on these hunts," he joked lamely and then he took a swig of beer. "How old are you?" he asked, as he wasn't sure how angel aging works. He kicked his feet up onto the coffee table, beginning to relax like he didn't after a hunt.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments "Older than you." he replied plainly.
"What's ye'r name?" Cry asked, setting down the scissors on the coffee table then went to the kitchen to find the broom.
"Jupiter." he replied, standing up and dragged his fingers through his hair then turned to Dan, "That you were, indeed. They don't just choose anyone to be hunters. Not the way they went through all the trouble finding you both again."

message 89: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "That's really helpful," Dan informed him sarcastically. He sighed an took another gulp of beer. "Cry, we're special. Though, just with hunting, you're not talented at had cutting," he teased. He wished she'd cut it shorter. But why did he care about the angel's hair? How long would the angel even be staying with them. As for the whole angel part, why the hell were they welcoming anything supernatural into their home? Sure he had saved his life, but... It didn't feel right.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry walked back into the living room, holding a broom and rolled her eyes, "I already knew that." she muttered and opened the patio sliding door, walking pack over and began to sweep the hair outside and off the patio. "Jupiter. That's an amazing name." she said flatly.
He gave her a small nod, "Thank you."
"How long will ye' be staying now? It seemed a bit odd that we've been hunting for a good year now for these people. But, they send ye' now?" She said, sweeping out the hair then stepped back into the living room and closed the sliding door.
"I will be staying till it is your time." He replied flatly.

message 91: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments Dan set the empty beer bottle on the coffee table. He frowned at the angel but without targeting the angel with his less than positive feelings. "What do you mean your time?" He asked. He was too big on the whole fate thing. Being meant to be a hunter was one thing, he liked that part, but having to amount to something special was different. "Oh, Cry, did you get everyone on the list?" He had forgotten to ask about the hunt, and he felt terrible for being completely useless.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry paused for a moment, though briefly answered, "Of course."
Though this was a lie, she felt it took no harm. Dan didn't need to know she let a demon off. And besides, she would take a break for the next day, then after that she would take her usual beer run and wipe the devil off the map, and Dan wouldn't know a thing!
She flopped down in the couch and reached out, taking a novel from the hookah on the coffee table and took a puff.
Jupiter watched them for a moment, watching Cry blow smoke rings with an emotionless stare, then concentrated back on Dan. "Your time." He said again plainly.

message 93: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "I wish I could've actually helped," Dan told her in a manner that showed a bit of his self hate, though he generally concealed his feelings unless they were positive ones. The whole concealing part of him was exactly why he didn't phrase it as an apology, say that he felt useless, or the like. Instead he made it his own fault and berated himself for it. Maybe it was unhealthy but it worked. He sighed and laid back on the couch with his head in her lap, in the way that friends feel completely comfortable with each other. "Time for what? Death? Adventure Time? Time to get a watch?" He asked, really wanting a less vague answer that'd clear things up.

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry raised an eyebrow, watching the angel carefully. She rested her hand on the side if his head, tangling her fingers in his hair and rubbed her thumb smoothly behind his ear.
Jupiter gave his head a small shake, "It is nothing to fret over." He stud up, dragging his fingers through his hair once more. "I understand you are given missions in the area you are given."
Cry hesitated slightly, though spoke after blowing out a lung full of sweet smoke, "We are given a good day or few between assignments and missions."
She fretted the idea of loosing the demon. If Dan found that she had been lying, and they had been waiting to give them the next mission, she would be in a world of trouble.

message 95: by Spooky Mulder (new)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "God, that's going to keep me up at night," Dan commented a bit annoyed that the angel wouldn't explain. Most people liked having a real in between hunts, but he really liked having surprise missions or only a day to real in between. He got bored easily and there wasn't much else to do and still be ready to go on a hunt at a moments notice. He kissed being in charge of what he did. If he was a lone hunter he'd just travel the country according to weird news stories and things that showed signs of monsters. Unfortunately or fortunately, he was stuck here.

And still, she preferred to not bother with things. When walking, she often fast pace. She didn't get bored. She only got tired of distracted.
And beside all that, Dan's company was enough for her. He didn't require much beside strait forward communication and a joke now and then.
But, would this angel really be around? It doesn't seem like he would change anything, but maybe it would.
He blinked, starting at them and have another uneasy shift. "I'm sorry." He replied plainly, in contrast to Dan's comment.

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "Uh, that's alright..." Dan said simply, though it would bug him. Sure curiosity killed the cat, but he couldn't help it, and he didn't like cats much anyway. "I'm hungry," he whined to Cry. He knew she wouldn't cook for him, in fact he did most of the cooking, which was maybe one meal a week, but it was good. Good enough that she wouldn't generally tease him about cooking. "Should we go out in celebration of not death, your combat skills, and the invention of tacos and/or pizza?"

Smoke flooded from her nose, wafting into Dan's face with the familiar herbal scent. She grabbed her phone that she decided do much and started texting people and making orders.
Jupiter have a black look, not know exactly what they were doing, "Cupid. Who is this?"
Cry sighed, leading on the back of the couch again, "A friend of ours. He knew my sister and used to hunt with Dan." She explained briefly.
(I hope you don't mind a minor character.)

Spooky Mulder (volocibum) | 458 comments "Yay, sounds good," Dan responded happily, though he didn't appreciate her moving around. He was perfectly comfortable so naturally she fixed that. "God, he used to get himself into a lot of trouble, almost as much as I did, though my trouble involved less near death experiences somehow," he reminisced, not really gearing his words towards anyone but himself. He wished he had brought another beer with him when he sat down, because he really didn't want to get up, but he wanted another beer.

(I don't mind at all))

§†êl͓̽l͓̽åꝈนຖå (fallaciousgod) | 2208 comments Cry handed Dan the phone and made him check if everything was spelled right in her text to Cupid.
She was listening of course but didn't comment. Her spelling was horrible and was about to send the text to someone else in her contacts. This wasn't because she was lazy or stupid. Cry was legally blind. Without Dan out Cupid, she would have never made it to where she was now. With little sight, her advanced were nice with superb hearing and sensitive touch, but everything was a blur. She'd described it once, comparing her sight to a memory or her childhood. His the grass used to be sharp and clean, but now it was only an ugly mucky shade of brown, and at night all was black beside LED lights and flashing signs with were still blurs. Looking close, she could make out objects. She did most of everything through touch and sound.
Once again, Dan was her prize. He never rejected her touch or snapped at her for having something wrong. They learned to laugh when she bumped into walls, and to keep tabs on what shoes he wore, her memories his usual stride. All seemed in right balance.
Jupiter have a small frown, "Hm, let's keep it that way." He said stiffly, still listening to their every word. "You're quite lucky I made it here before anything serious happened."
