This is a series about a young woman who owns her own home. She rents the bottom of her home to an angel sent to protect her. Her job is to bring new souls to the door. She cannot force them to cross this door, all she can do is to find the new souls and bring them to the door. She has wings and can she can become invisible when she wants to.
She has a gargoyle of hundreds of years old as a best friend. He usually sleeps in a window box outside their home. He loves his snacks and is wiser than he lets on.
The company she works for sends her the name and address of the person about to die so she can be there to pick up the souls and bring them to the Door.
Her father is Lucifer and this girl hates her father and wants nothing to do with him unless she needs help with monsters from the underworld. There are many monsters that want her dead. She has great powers and everyone wants these powers. Even her father is afraid of her powers. She can go into the underworld when she has to.Her boss is in love with her and so is the angel living in her house.The gargoyle watches everything going on. He can tell if someone is good or bad.
