Update and a Question

Hello Everyone,
VERY long time no talk. My name is Katie and I was the original moderator for this book club. Unfortunately, I had to put the club on the back burner for some personal things going on in my life. I had originally thought that my absence would only be for a few weeks or maybe a couple months, however, I believe it has been about a year. Sadly, things have not died down on a personal level with me and I will be unable to tend to this club indefinitely.
This saddens me very much because reading used to be a pleasure of mine. I used to dish out about two books a week. Unfortunately, I don't think I have done any pleasure reading since I had to opt out of being a moderator. If you know me, that is a very depressing idea.
Now for the question: I am considering closing down the book club. It seems to have been inactive for quite awhile anyways which I sort of expected. I am not sure how many active members we still have here but anyone remaining: I would love your input. Has this club run its course?
I also wanted to say thank you so much to Kayla for moderating as best she could in my place. I am so sorry I abandoned you without notice and I truly appreciate all the effort you put into this from the bottom of my heart. You are a true gem my dear!
I would love to at some point in time start a new book club on Goodreads whenever I would have the time I would truly dedicate to a long-term project.
I had so much fun discussing things with everyone here and I am so sorry for all the inactivity.
If you feel we should give this group another shot, I will do my best to check in as much as possible to give Kayla a hand.

You are most welcome, Katie. I was glad to help. I haven't heard much from members, but I'm hoping things will pick up again. It's wonderful to see you on again and I'm sorry things haven't calmed down on your end.
