[Emma]

Eli sat at a table, studying biology. He was still expecting to learn through a combination of classes, tutoring from Alfred and essentially anyone he could find, and reading dusty old textbooks that seemed decades old.

[Kaitlyn]

Kasey walked into the room, sneaking up on Eli soundlessly and invisibly. "Boo!" she exclaimed as she reappeared in front of him, grinning. This kind of shenanigans was expected from her. When she's comfortable around someone, she's much easier to talk with and goof around. Only people close to her saw this side of her, a side you would never expect. "How's it going?" she asked, leaning against the table.

[Emma]

Eli jumped and slammed the book. He saw it was her and sighed. "Hey." He said. "I was trying to study but I guess I give up now."

[Kaitlyn]

Kasey laughed. "That's the spirit," she joked. "You can take a break and I can help you after," she offered, running her fingers through her hair.

[Emma]

"What are you doing around here, anyway?" he asked. "Aren't you a Justice Leaguer or something?"

[Kaitlyn]

"I'm not old enough to be a Leaguer," she rolled her eyes. "Something about having to make your own decisions without guardian consent or something like that," she brushed off. "So," she changed the subject, "how are you doing at Gotham Academy? Have you thought about trying out for any sports?" she questioned.

[Emma]

"Oh." Eli said. "School's fine, I guess. I don't have time to go there all day like the other kids 'cause I got training and working jobs, so I take a couple classes here and there. A sport would be cool though, if I had the time."
