Biography
Infancy: Ayaka was born as a triplet, but only Ayaka and her sister survived, their brother dying within a couple hours of being born. As a baby, Ayaka was always the more quiet of the two of them, Abi being the loud and bubbly twin. The twins were often raised by a nanny, as their father was always working or drinking and their mother was depressed, and hardly left her room. When Aya and Abi were with their parents, they witnessed, more than once, their parents yelling and fighting with each other. The first time either of the girls were subject to their father’s abuse, they were 2 and Aya was hit into a wall. After being abused by their father a few times, the two girls often stayed in their room or outside.
Childhood: As a young child, Ayaka was always close with her twin sister, the two almost never being away from one and other. Aya’s earliest memory is that of sitting against the door in her room, with Abi, listening to their father scream at their mother for an unknown reason. In school, Ayaka was always on the sidelines, always watching others but never joining in herself, the polar opposite of Abi, who was the one always making friends and joining in during social activities. When the twins were 6, their aunt and uncle stepped in, having suspected that Abi and Aya were being abused. The twins were put into the custody of their aunt and uncle right away, as it was the safest place they could go. Abi thrived in the new world they were placed in, but Aya found herself curling into herself. Aya was 10, the first time she started to be picked on and only a few months into the bullying, Ayaka started to self-abuse, something that would continue on until she was a teenager. One of the best things to happen to the twins though, was the birth of their younger cousin, Izzy, when the girls were 10.
Adolescence: Aya’s teen years were somewhat of a dark time for her, as Ayaka refused to lean on her family, even distancing herself from her twin. As much as Abi tried, Aya kept herself far from her sister emotionally, which caused a rift between them that has yet to be fixed. Upon being old enough to enter into high school, Abi and Aya chose different high schools, not wanting to be at the same school anymore. Ayaka so far has been enjoying her time at Ouran, but a few months ago, she was forced by her aunt to join some kind of extracurricular activity. Aya accidently stumbled upon the host club, and ended up continuing to come to the club.
