ohh, wow. we have a thread already. nice. and thanks for making it. now, i don't have to go to trouble of making one. :P
and i will go through your list in evening.
what kind of books you like?
Utkarsh wrote: "what kind of books you like?"I like Sci-fi, film adaptations and at times try any new genre. Generally scared to pick up classics though. What about u? Sci-fi?
Gehna wrote: "Boy's Life! Boy's life! Boy's life!"Is it that good! Let me give it a try then.... Thx.
Try Jurassic park or world war Z then. Boy's life is good too. it's about growing up and writing is beautiful. quite unique book.
You have read a lot of Sidney Sheldon, Gorab. from your list i will read The book thief or Kane and Abel.
I wanna read 2001 A Space Odyssey too, but later. because i have seen the movie.
I'm currently reading To Kill a Mockingbird, so I'll pick Boy's life after some other books. Will probably try JP or WWZ, whichever I get first.
I read all books by Sheldon in my school days and quite enjoyed the thrillers. But don't like the new ones.
2001 I saw the movie first. But after reading the book, I saw the film yet again and enjoyed it way more!

Congo guys,
you guys are too fast. Happy reading.

I'm going to start a couple of days earlier, since its going to take a couple of years more for me :DGoing to start with Crichton's JP tomorrow.
I've started strolling in a dangerous pre-historic park, The Jurassic Park. Have reached the point where they analyse the possible breeding grounds (around 40% in the book)I like it when a book is subdivided into many smaller chapters instead of few bigger chapters. Didn't comprehend fully the technical details of DNA regeneration. Its very fast paced and gripping plot so far.
Crichton is good with scientific details, i liked reading about it. Any favorite character yet.
I will start The book thief next week. busy this week.
My favourite character is Tim because of his observation power and knowledge :)I will be busy next week : travelling to home town for Diwali celebrations.
It was such a thrilling read, that I called in for a sick leave at office, and read the last 50% in a single sitting :)
Well, I got distracted, like always. But there are still some days left in the month, so I will start today. The book thief.sick leave for reading, that's nice. Just don't let your boss know. :P
Have you read any other book related to holocaust? This was my first of this kind and so enjoyed it immensely. Although have seen a few movies on holocaust and enjoyed them as well but this book stands out exceptionally!!!

Going through your favourite books, I stumbled upon quite a lot of books I would love reading.
Boy's Life, Good Omens (they look so interesting)
The Shining (Never tried any horror, neither any Stephen King)
Jurassic Park, Timeline (Haven't read any by Crichton)
Red Rising (bcoz I like sci-fi)
And then there are some which I want to read for the movies I love :
Godfather
The Great Gatsby
Fight Club
Benjamin Button
Fear and Loathing in LV
How to Train Your Dragon
Bourne Identity
World War Z
Looking up to your recommendation to help me pick up my next book. Nov 2015 will be the beginning but this looks to be a challenge worth continuing for all of 2016 :D
