I am a published author with an independent publisher. For my third novel, I am now hoping to snare a literary agent and a traditional publisher. With that said, I want to ensure that this story accomplishes what I intended. It is my first major comedy. I'm not requesting a proofreading. I have a professional proofreader who is going over the first few chapters now and will do the book upon a literary agent's request to see it. So, it will be a bit grammatically imperfect. I would love to know if you laughed or cried or your heart was touched viewing the lives of the characters.
Its working title is Second Chances. What if you awoke in your new retirement community and you looked and felt about twenty-seven years old? It is mostly about the lives of retirees in a magical retirement community where they have a second chance for happiness. Like a Neil Simon play, there are an ensemble of relationships. As a clinical social worker the novel explores senior relationships, grand parenting, love, marriages. There is a young couple who struggle with their hopes for a happier life.
It is about 406,000 words. If you have an interest, I would gladly send you a copy.
This sounds interesting. I would love to read it. I have a nook so ePub or PDF are best. My email is basketballmom25@hotmail.com. Just let me know what you want me to look for.
