Stevens watched from a distance as he saw the two girls stare at each other he realized that they were not government catchers but rebels because they weren't stuff like soldiers

Stevens then glanced around then said we should move farther into the library these catchers are ruthless

"Yeah we should. But I doubt they would come in here. I didn't catch your name? Mine's Brea." Brea looked at the person who was reading, "good book isn't it?

Then Stevens said don't worry they'll find you here they're just that good
"Well nice to meet you." She looked him in the eye and couldn't tell if he was trustworthy or not. Brea was skeptical because she had had her fair share of broken trust.
Realizing that she was trying to see if he was trustworthy Stevens said if you're looking for a person who hates the government more than he hates cold coffee I'm your man
Brea tried to stifle a laugh. She thought it was funny he had compared the government to cold coffee. "Well, Derrick," she said, testing his name, "shouldn't we go further back in the library? And since I'm 'lost' you can lead the way."
Bowing mockingly Steven said follow me and also what's your power because catchers just don't hunt anybody
"I can make people do what I want. It's actually a quite useful thing. But oddly it doesn't work on you. Most people see my blonde hair and do whatever I want them to. That's another thing, I can manipulate emotions. So, anyway, what's your power?"
Stevens said I can heal people and myself it's quite useful that's how I escaped the government I faked my death they don't even know I exist anymore
"Wow. That's smart." Brea thought that was very clever.
Finally reaching the back of the library Stevens motioned for brea to sit then sat opposite her then asked have you anything to eat
"Meaning if I have food, then no. Meaning if I'm hungry, Im not starving, so I'm fine."
Stitghly amused by this girl tough attitude then Stevens said so tell me what got you on the governments bad side then I'll tell mine
Brea smiled at the compliment of her being a tough girl. "Well, since I was on my own, I kinda-sorta stole from a lot of places, which of course, a lot of people were doing, and I got caught, I managed to escape, but the government knows who I am, what I look like, and that I am not..." Brea trailed off, not wanting Derrick to know why she was on her own or what, exactly the government knew about her.
Interesting said Stevens well me and my parents used to be like nazi zealots to the government until they suspected that we were harboring rebels than a man named Luke Wilson came and tortured them and made me watched thinking that I knew something but of course I didn't so I watched my parents die by the hand of the most evil man alive Luke Wilson
"And that basically is why I hate him. Killing innocents."

"Like I said before, I was being chased." Brea felt as if this were an interrogation, so she turned it around, "what about you, huh? Why are you in the library? Is it special somehow?"
Laughing Stevens said this has been my humble home for the past couple of months you see I'm kind of homeless
