Jenn (kenzismash) I saw them mentioned on here before. I made one up, but I have no idea if it's decent or not, but I'm just looking to cover the basics anyway.

I plan on putting it on my website and will send to clients before I start in on a manuscript.

What do you have on yours, or what have you seen that you think is good to include?

Thank you!

Joni A basic style sheet has 14 blocks - AB, CD, EF, GH, IJ, KL, MN, OP, QR, S, T, UV, WX, YZ - Then maybe one or 2 blocks for misc. Under all those blocks have a larger block with General Style/Punctuation/Number specifics

You might be better off having a block for each letter instead of sharing space. Hope this helps.

Good topic. We can always learn from each other.

Here's a link to a description of how to set up a style sheet: http://theeditorsblog.net/2011/07/12/...

I start mine with the following, and then have the alphabetical listings after:

Author:
Title:
Date:
Copyeditor:

Special Symbols

Permission/Credits Needed

Tables, figures, captions

Dates and Numbers

Miscellaneous Notes

Footnotes

Bibliography

Punctuation

Abbreviations and Acronyms

I'll be interested to see what others include.

Ruth
