--I'm sure I'm being nit-picky at this point, but I don't like how often the tense shifts between "present" and "past"...it's hard to keep track of what's happening when, as I get confused about whether we're in the past/a memory or in the present time with it shifting around so much.
--I'm curious as to the WHY of her situation. Why did the Alpha status pass to her, instead of following the chain of command as it's supposed to? It's interesting that so many males are showing up to "chance" their luck with her; it sort of reminds me of Christine Feehan's Carpathian world, in a way. (hide spoiler)]
