Saving the Province question

I know that my first novel will instantaneously be automatically compared to the Hunger Games and Divergent trilogies because it is a YA Sci-Fi dystopian thriller trilogy. However, do you think that it is fair to compare it or should it be judged on the merits of the novel itself? I would like to hear from you on what your thoughts about this.
