I've only read 80/339 but I'm slowly getting there.

I'm at 13 books, if you want to add the books that I have on the list but haven't read my percent would go from 5% to somewhere around 30% probably! I would really like a poster of this list- something to check off through my readings and through the years. Has anyone seen something like this or have any Pinterest ideas of this?

I found a PDF printable on Randon Olive, http://www.randomolive.com/rory-gilmo...
it doesn't have ticky boxes, but you can add the date when you read it. To download it you just have to sign up to their newsletters. Hope that helps :)
I've read only 14 (of the 339) so far, but I've got at least 20 others of the list already waiting on my shelves. So little time so much to read...
Oh my god! I only read 9, so I am in the bottom 7%.I feel like such a literary newbe, although I have read a lot of books.
Apparently I have to catch up on all the classics.
I can't believe how many American and European classics I know and discussed in school, but didn't actually have to read. They should have made us read a lot more in high school!
I am so excited and motivated to try them all.
14 of 339 books (4%)#147,856 of 169,560 users (bottom 13%)
I plan to keep coming back to update though. First ill be reading the short children's books where i know the stories but never actually read the book.
13... 4%Idk if it is just my phone or what, but the quiz was a little frustrating. It would keep jumping back to the top numerous times on each page, causing me to have to keep scrolling down and try to get to the bottom. Lol
I'm at 43. I've read more, but I am going to re-read some, so I'm putting mine at 43 to not count the ones I will re-read.
Caitlin wrote: "I plan on rereading the ones I read in high school though."Same here. I'm not even counting them. I'm not sure I read them like I should have in High School ;)
So my first comment on here was 14/339 and that was 4 months ago. Today I am at30 of 339 (9%). Yay I'm catching up! I'd like to be at 40 by the end of the year though
Well, I have a long ways to go. Only 17 which puts me at 5%.... Better then I was a year ago... This group has helped me read more books which is a great thing..
Question for those of you who have read more on this list.. Is there an actual book for Fahrenheit 9/11? All I can find is the movie.
Holly wrote: "Question for those of you who have read more on this list.. Is there an actual book for Fahrenheit 9/11? All I can find is the movie."I think it's Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 , as stated here:
The title of the film alludes to Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel Fahrenheit 451, a dystopian view of the future United States [...]

This is me! 14/339 which is 4% haha oh boy... I'm just starting so it's nice to know what my jumping off point is. I'm fairly sure I've actually read more but since I'm not positive, I'm not counting those. For example I know I have read a lot of Shakespeare... but I really don't remember which since its been so long... *sigh*
Holly - There sure is. I managed to find one second hand so maybe try a library or online site with used books?
Is it the Farhenheit 9/11 Reader one? I will be looking second hand or library but want to make sure I get the right one.

Hi Kathryn,
I've been going through the list and it would appear that the 2.11 reference is merely a mention of the Nancy Drew series? So I'll probably just treat it as a duplicate of the book mentioned in 1.17 The Witch Tree Symbol
I've read 42, so 12% done. Am currently reading 2 other books from Rory's list :D I'm at the top 48%, so not bad.
I've read 93 of them. (27%) which puts me in the top 9%. Huh. I thought for sure that I hadn't read many of them. But I guess when there are 340 or so books to read that anything less than half feels a bit short. This is something that I'm really excited to do. I do not plan on re-reading the books I have already read. Like Rory says in the show ( I can't remember the episode) "There are too many books in the universe to be re-reading the same ones." I may have that off a bit, but I'm close to the intent.
I can't wait until I get into higher numbers.

I lost like 4 books compared to the other list :( More determined to make a dent in the list now though!
I've been thinking about doing this challenge for awhile now, so I took the test. I'm at 55 books (16%). If I add in everything I've read but not completed/don't remember completing I bump up to 86 (25%).However, I don't think this quiz is very good for my purposes--many of the things that Rory mentions are likely the movie, not book versions, of these titles.
I say this for things like "Shane," or "Fiddler on the Roof" which are more culturally relevant/known for their film/play editions and which (I think) were referenced as such on the show.
I also think it's weird to include stories that are so culturally pervasive, but which we don't know that Rory read (Rapunzel, Snow White, etc.)
Of course, she could mean both, but when I think of this challenge I think of the books that were explicitly mentioned, not every book that is also a play or movie or commonly referenced story. I think of the books that we think Rory Gilmore actually sat and read.
I guess when push comes to shove, I'd rather a thorough list than an incomplete one, but I thought I'd put my two-cents in as far as what the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge means for me, which is to read the books that she read/referenced specifically as having read. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
I am rereading any books I do not explicitly remember (or basically haven't read since 2016) so... I got 40/339.
Stephanie wrote: "I've read 100 on the first list, but only 77 on the new one. Which puts me at 31%"What do you mean by old list vs new list?
The group used to use the buzzfeeds list which has 339 books on it.
Im reading from both, but this group uses the blank and white list. Its on the post called 'how this works'

I'm up to 86 books on the B&W list now. (35% of list)
I'm done ranking myself against others. I'm just in it for the reads. LOL
