I finally read it because my nephew is really enjoying the series. Don't know what took me so long - it's really a good read! Now we have a book club complete with treats, the movies & discussions.
I am so happy that people are still reading this series for the first time and enjoying it! I recently heard they have rereleased the first one in a fully illustrated copy that looks gorgeous. I think I may get it and add it to my reread pile yet again :)
I'm really enjoying it too! Can't believe I've not read it before! Yeah, the illustrated copy looks amazing but it's pretty expensive!
I think the reason they are so pricey is probably the printing costs, but yes, it is on the pricier side.I am so glad you are enjoying it! Do you have a favourite part so far?
Just all of it! I know the story because of the films but it's so good to read it in so much more detail! I'm especially enjoying Peeves
I already have a set of the books but I really want the new illustrated ones. I reread this book for the magic week too.
So good memories! I really would like to be able to read them for a first time again, but I guess I have to be content with a reread :-P

I have been trying to buy the entire series used for about two years now. It is still so popular that they get snapped up right away. Yesterday I finally walked in on the right day. Someone had them on hold but did not come in to get them. Now my son and I are going to reread them together for next year's challenge. :D
