Thank you :) Can't wait to try them out

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 122 comments Both are great series, but I really love the Amelia Peabodys... If you like them even half as much as I do, then it will be a successful choice! If you don't then that's ok too and you can just go to the Aunt Dimitys instead...

Thank you for picking The Black Sheep Knitting Series.. I did love the first book and can't wait to read the next in the series.

Well I stayed up late (or early depending on how you look at it!), I started my November reads at just gone midnight and read them both! (it was apt that the 2nd one Ghost of a Potion (A Magic Potion Mystery, #3) by Heather Blake was a Halloween based one!) the only problem now is I have a long wait until December :D

Wow you were up late. Sounds like they were good since they kept your attention late into the night (or early into the morning.)

Linda,
Just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed starting this series. Got both finished and starting the third. I love Ellery's other series and this one is even better. Strong story lines and interesting characters. I also liked the fact that the main protagonist, Olivia, is slightly older than those in most cozies. She's in her early 40's and very independent. It was refreshing to see a more evolved character. Let me know what you think when you read A Killer Plot.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 122 comments Finished two of the three Benni Harper books I have for this month. Both are really good, but it has been a long time since I've read these, and now they are almost historicals... LOL. Still good, after all these years!

I read a mystery that was written in the early 90s. There's a scene where the MC is in a scary situation and needs to make a phone call. She's thwarted when the nearest pay phone is inoperable. And I'm wondering why she didn't just use her cell phone. Had to remind myself that it wasn't an option! LOL

Helen (helennn) | 1020 comments I've finished 2 Ayelet Waldman "Mommy Track mysteries" for this month's challenge. Death Gets a Time Out and Murder Plays House. I love her light-hearted way of dealing with serious themes. I've reviewed both on Good Reads.

I really like the Mommy Track mysteries. I wish she would write more.

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 122 comments Finished the final Benni Harper mystery. They were loosing something in the end. It sure is harder to read when you are trying to remember how things were 15 - 29 years ago, to see how much tracks successfully. Still a good story, but you could sense the author was done with this series. The omph has gone out of them.

message 78: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 499 comments I finished both Jane Jeffry books, moving a little further into the series. Thanks for the pick, Karen.

message 79: by Linda C (new)

Linda C (libladynylindac) Finally read the first Cat in the Stacks mystery. My review is on GR.

I'm not sure how I feel about the cat. Thankfully, it is not one of those where the cat talks and solves the mystery. However, only a real cat loving author would set up a story where the cat was able to go everywhere, even places where animals are generally not allowed unless they are a service animal.

I did like the 50 year old male librarian lead and will see how book 2 goes.

message 80: by Linda C (new)

Linda C (libladynylindac) Finally finished the second Cat in the Stacks mystery, Classified as Murder (Cat in the Stacks, #2) by Miranda James Classified as Murder. Really like Charlie and the mystery but am not fond of the cat who goes everywhere with the main character.

message 81: by Connie N. (new)

Connie N. | 499 comments I haven't read this one, Linda. Do you think you'll continue with the series?

message 82: by Linda C (new)

Linda C (libladynylindac) I have a couple more on my shelves so I will read them. I really do like Charlie and he is the main character.
